Modi handled Protests very well. The protesters were allowed to protest for many months, some of them even took advantage of the situation and made settlements on the highway road, also disrupting the lives of local population in the area. In the end, Modi even took back the Law despite its potential to help India’s horrible Agriculture sector. I have not seen any other leader do that much for a protest from a particular area of people. Remember, it was mostly farmers from Punjab and Haryana who had been opposing the act. The rest of states supported the law.

Farmer protests happened because there was whole lot of misinformation spread to the farmers. Khalistani elements were front, right and centre in this. The community protesting would not see the benefit of changes in farm laws. The last of any changes to farm culture dates from 60s- 70s. We well know we need to change, but some people have become slightly comfy with old system, therefore, it was easy to mess with their heads! The bill is no more an issue, PM has cenacelled the whole bill.

I would suggest that you peruse the laws enacted for the benefit of the farmers and compare it the actual situation of the farmers in India, you would understand, how a political party to gain brownie points, acted against the interests of the farmers only to show the ruling party in bad light. Hi Guys, I have seen your videos majorly in regards of Canada india Matter. Just want you to inform you about the Farmers Protest in India. Indian Farmer had been suiciding for a long time. Modi Govt changed 3 bills regarding Farm laws and giving the Farmers choice to sell privately thier corp. But the opposite side and few Rich Punjabi and opposition leader Protested against the New law bill and the Save opposition said multiple time that these Farms laws are mandatory for Farmers. But When Modi proposed the same law it need to be opposed in India. So the Modi govt revoked the bill and Farmers situations are same as it was always been. Sad reality of India. Many indian dont like India's growth and International Recognition.

And guess which country was leading the effort in WTO to pressurize India to bring in farm reforms. Yep, it was Canada. That wasn't real farmer's protest but khalistanis protest favouring brokers not farmers. Indian farmers bill was made to help with an option of farmers to sell their products to anyone directly or in govt agriculture market. Till now farmers are forced to sell in govt agriculture market to low price set by these middleman (brokers) and brokers are getting rich by looting farmers. Only two states protested out of 28 states.

Regarding Farmers protest, whole India had No problem with Agriculture laws/reforms brought by Govt of India, except for some section of Panjab/Haryana farmers. Indian Govt has given option to follow existing laws, if any farmer does not like the new laws. However, protest was continued for NO Valid reasons, but for political and vested Interest. However Canadian PM Justin got inserted into it by tweeting in support of such protest. No doubt that this is gross interference in India's internal affair. Can Canadians agree, if another country PM tweet in support of Canada's Truckers protest or any other protests ? It seems. PM Justin has vested interest in keeping his minority Govt keep going.

It was not Farmers protest it was brokers protest understand back story 1. In India Farmers do not pay incomtax even if it’s in millions or billlions a year. 2. Indian government pledged they will double farmers income in 2019 and they brought act where farmers could sell their products to any one anywhere as per their will 3. In India farmers have to sell basic required products like rice wheat have to be sold gov licences person who molest poor farmers in other states other than Punjab. India buys most of its rations from Punjab state and its been provided better support for farming and agriculture support so Minimus price for product decided by gov is followed in Punjab easily and punjabi farmers are way rich than other parts of India because same chain works differently in other states as less farm developments. 3. Farmers from Punjab is involved in many activities as they are not only farmers but businessman’s who can afford branded huge engine cars bikes and their kids drugs( punjabi is most drug driven state in India) 4. Gov bright farmer bill which could let farmers sell their product to anyone and anywhere which is problematic for middle man now tell who should go on strike? But Farmers from Punjab went on strike and hold roads of Delhi blocking it by their tractors and cars playing games on roads of Delhi for months. …. Rather than freedom to sell products at will they wanted Minimum price assured for product should’ve been doubled…. That too Without increase in market rate price how is that possible so that was played by middle man’s to farmers

Recalling Rousseau on democracy: which everyone votes to express the general will and to make the laws of the land. Now observing Western and east Asian democracies, I see it quite the opposite. The elected one rules people's wills without them knowing it. Difference is western democracies keep all the information intact and open for criticism, while east Asian countries ruthlessly suppressing it.
