@@RetroCheats Sorry that should be isn't familiar.... Police horses are typically ridden by only a few, and sometimes only one, handler when actually deployed. If the horse doesn't know you it won't charge into something dangerous. Trained horses will let a competent person ride them (maybe), but they won't just go charge something, they'll rear or evade and likely buck the rider.

Ignoring the potential time travel issues, it would have gone against the spirit of every previous Indiana Jones ending, where he gives up the historical artifact instead of keeping it. It'd be like if the Last Crusade ending with Sean Connery saying "That's my life's work! Keep going Henry, I'm sure you can reach it!"

It intentionally skipped out on the Indy tropes that even Crystal Skull had in abundance. Story wise, the man had nothing left in the present day, and the movie didn't really do much to prove him wrong other than having Marion magically show up at the very end.

The villain getting brutally hit and being fine bothered me. Like, you can hear the crunch in the theater. I thought the plot would be that he used the dial to save himself. Like, if he immediately woke up 25 years in the future. That would explain why no one knew who he was, even though the CIA would have known exactly who he is. If you're going to have a magical time travel macguffin, why not have it time travel to the beginning of the movie?

TBH I've been around for only last two Indiana Jones and being an archaeologist(became because of Indiana Jones) I'd say he should have stayed with Pythagoras, I'd definitely. Plus the ending HISHE gave is what gives me thill and a sense of another adventure, I wish Ford was 10 years younger🥺.
