Induction heating explained through 3D animation. And the role of eddy current loss and hysteresis loss in the heating process.
INDUCTION HEATING:
Induction heating is a non-contact heating process, where an alternating magnetic field induces eddy currents in the metal.Which in turn generate heat due to the metals resistance to the eddy currents.
This type of heating suits better for metals which have high resistance.
In addition to that ferromagnetic materials are quickly heated because of the hysteresis loss, which happens due to the magnetization and demagnetization.
This video explains all of these through 3D animations.
