The penny sweets story was 100% accurate. As a 90's kid I remember them days well and you used to get to know which shop keepers weren't arsed counting the 100 sweets so you always were happy to see them instead of the one that always counted them out.
@Mr.M1STER3 жыл бұрын
@Mr.Nate_YT Our currency in those days was the Irish pound and for £1 you could buy 100 what were called penny sweets. They were just small candies. Imagine trying to count out 100 really small candies though, that is why they would normally grab a huge handful and give them to us. lol Good times.

It had holes in it too for maximum pain. One day it she broke it on my sister and I thought “Yay! I don’t get spanked today.” And what does she do? She pulls another from the aether realm and beats the living daylights out of me for laughing.

He lived in the 14th house from the left on the terrace over by the shop!” Me: “I really don’t.” Aunt: “Ah you do! He was Stephen O’Connell’s friend’s grandmother’s uncle’s stepson twice removed!” Me: “Ahhh yeah! Why?” Aunt: “Oh he died there this morning. God rest his soul the poor crater. And his wife only passed 10 years ago. Awful sad isn’t it? Now come on and help me hang out the washing.”

@Megwyn_Rose6 жыл бұрын
I used to spell theater like that too, until my drama teacher in high school told me that you spell it like that for example "she took a theatre class" and it's "er" for "she went to the theater" so the "re" she said is the subject where as the "er" is the physical place/building. And honestly I think nowadays it's just "er" for both.
