I'm glad you heard about this I haven't been seeing much talk about this and I've been in love with the singles they dropped leading. Personally this is the exact type of hyperpop that scratches my interests. Listening to this and listening to laura's own music you can see exactly how their two different music styles blend together so well into something very interesting. I do have one album that you should listen to if you haven't Oil of every Pearls Un-Inside, its from the artist SOPHIE who sadly passed away earlier this year, but she is one of the very early pioneers of hyperpop.

Look into the other members of cake pop. Lewis Grant is the one singing on Whistle. Ravenna Golden is also quite amazing.

As someone who's fray into this type of music was limited at "c.02" of off Charli XCX's album last year (also produced by Dylan Brady) this project fits comfortably in that type of music. After an initial listen to this project, I left wanting someone to make a Broadway musical featuring this type of music since a lot of the tracks on this album (particularly the duets on this album "Candy Floss" an an example) are (despite their short length) have that storytelling confessional element (such as navigating through a nightclub) or two people professing their feelings for one another, that wouldn't be out of place on a musical album.

You should run with tis idea and put together a hyper musical!

@@professorskye Just gotta teach myself some production skills first lol but year one of the complaints about musicals is that there are no real ones that use contemporary forms of music (there was Hamilton of course) but La La Land used music from the golden era of Hollywood but yeah I think hyperpop could work lol

@@kiroolioneaver8532 Awesome idea!, I work in music production and audio engineering, if you could find some vocalists (actual quality not too important in hyper-world) i'd be really excitied to help out. . . Unofficial CV: Always been a dream of mine to work on a full length musical, I have done arranging and band work for a variety of theatre companies and have experiance in film composition, pop production and studio engineer work, big fan of hyperpop as well as movie scores (especially the work of Brocker Way and Colin Stetson).

@@igrnge2883 Would be awesome to be a part of this lol (though admittedly musically I'm a bit of an amateur; play a few instruments, none of them well). Maybe could help in story ideas/creation but it's cool to hear you have that background and using hyperpop because (as I stated) I think a lot of musicals are safe in that they use older more established genres of music instead of being on the cutting edge of what's happening.

Ok, Ok , I give, I admit I find this annoying. I don't enjoy listening to fingernails scratching across a blackboard for several minutes either. Yes ,I'm old, older than you, but one has to accept their limitations. On the other hand ,I do enjoy stuff like, "My Life In the Bush of Ghosts" to the Beatles ,to Flying Lotus, etc.I did give up sugar years ago. Non the less ,nice review as usual. Ok, I need to take a nap now.

I totally agree with accepting limitations. The problem comes when those limits are never tested.
