My theory is that they did go to space in the sacred timeline with the dark blue space suit that we saw in the teaser and uske baad somehow they got in some other universe where they developed the whole world as you explained and later in that universe they got to know about some threat jiski vajah se they go again in space thinking that they might go back to their universe but cosmic rays se unke andar powers aa gyi and they come back to earth and that is the reason why reed was worried in the whole teaser cause a threat was coming and he wanted to travel to some other universe cause he wanted to save his kid which explains why there was the wormhole theory on the blackboard.
