In Italy religion is less and less important, so actually Easter (called Pasqua) is, for the vast majority of people, just an occasion for a family reunion with a large meal. And there's always Easters eggs on the table. The day after Easter, called "pasquetta" is a national holiday and traditionally Italians make out-of-town trips with friends.
