@Marchi-20002 ай бұрын
@@Abby-00(greetings from Iran) Yes It is illegal, but in a way that weed is illegal, yet people smoke, and when a lot of people smoke cops won't spend their time looking for every single person smoking. Same case with the head covering, however lately one of my friends got fined(not a heavy one) because when she was driving around in her car she and her friends had no hijab so they issued her a ticket and brought the car to a parking, it's not uncommon for this stuff. Btw video above is not a daily routine, mostly upper middle class thing to stroll around big malls and there are many malls like this but not exactly a routine like she said.

@@Abby-00 unfortunately living in Iran is a bit complicated, describing it is not simple. If I have to compare I would say Iran does much better than it's neighbors, like Iraq or Afghanistan, or most third world countries, there is safety, stable jobs, opportunities to make money if you are dedicated, generally cheap food and oil, educational facilities and good culture + cuisine. But it lags behind in some fields, some due to sanctions and some due to the theocratic rule, the money is worthless, and it keeps getting even worse so smart people buy assets to keep their money, but people with low paying jobs can never climb in life they live in debt and have to pay mortgage, there is little to no foreign investment and almost no foreign brand(although some things get smuggled in like specific medicines that poor can't afford), housing prices are just too high for a normal wage, and you have no access to international banks and ..., while in case of non economic problems it's a long list, probably the cause of every economic problem above, fanatic hardliners who are like ultra conservatives seeking to take any liberty at any chance, and non stop propaganda and indoctrination from school to workplace, most people develop a "I do not care" stance and try to get by when it comes to government. Sorry for all this yapping, hope it helps answer some questions.

I’m confused, I thought the media shows that women that don’t cover their hair in Iran are imprisoned or killed so how come everyone is walking around without head scarf? Can someone clarify?
@visitera5 ай бұрын
Media often highlights extreme cases, but in reality, enforcement varies. Many women choose to walk without headscarves despite the risks.
@herrgolf5 ай бұрын
Enforcement is arbitrary and unpredictable. People protested that young woman’s murder because it represented their worst fear and they were fed up. But enforcement is lesser since the protests bc the govt can’t handle any instability right now.

@@Badakhsxx Just don't believe all the negative propaganda our untrustworthy media tends to spread. They don't make money if they would report everyone getting along, would they...? The western governments always have to demonize someone to distract from their own crimes. Don' t forget that the video was shot in a large city, not in some bled. Still... I whish London would be so clean...

So surprised! Didn't know Iran is a relaxed nation like that and beautiful too. Not much pressure on the women as we been made to believe. Need more videos like this.

yes, the young modern women do not wear hijabs. The older mothers wear hijabs because they are used to it from back then. But.... when the sharia moral police come, they all quickly wear hijabs..... (...)

@@twbyineurnot wearing hijab is a kind of protest against the law that people do not want. If you want to know how serious the morality police is, you can just search "Mahsa Amini", and then you will understand how brave these women are not wearing hijab.

There are nicer cities in Iran than Tehran. Shiraz, Isohahan, Tabriz, Yazd, Mashad, Rasht, lahijan, Ramsar, Kermanshah and… are all nice cities!

These street videos of Tehran are great. Iranian women are among the most beautiful in the world. I have seen many without the hijab which surprised me. It does appear that Iranian society is not as strict as it used to be. These scenes could easily pass for Greece or Turkey

Amazing to see so many women not wearing hijabs. I'm sure there are more conservative cities, but you always think of religious police walking around, and making sure women are covered. That one girl that walked by showing her stomach was definitely surprising.

Exactly brother, I think it's the greatest gift one can get while being in the armed forces, if you're intelligent enough to observe, learn, and come to your own conclusions, and not just get wasted every time you're on liberty.
