This conflict has no resemblance to Vietnam in any parameter. I don't even have enough time here to spell out just how much it does not have in common. So they are already bordering on blatant lies, just basically saying what they think the audience wants to hear, and which ultimately discredits any credibility they could have on anything else. I guess I'll give the Cliff Notes version. The US-South Vietnamese couldn't win because the North was being supplied constantly with weapons and manpower from proxy states. This is just not true for Gaza. Gaza is closed off on every side. It might have some sort of underground supply chain but I sincerely doubt it. Gaza is also much, underline, much smaller than North Vietnam, which composed half of the country. In most countries, Gaza would be a city. A large city, but still. This is a small occupied, besieged territory. If Israel really intends to kill everyone in Gaza with medieval siege tactics it is very much within their ability to do so. And it seems like that is their intention. Let me also just state that Al-Jazeera and other regional medias often punt this off on the US, but neglect to mention that regional powers that could help, ie Jordan and Egypt, are not even in serious discussions. Israel is America's ally, but this is not America's war. I know that sort of deflates the Great Satan narrative which fuels so many political careers but it is the truth. I mean if we want to walk this back to my original point, the Vietnam war would have ended if China and the USSR stopped shipping in supplies but that was not their war.

He really doesn't seem like he knows much about the conflict at all. 14:18 "Why is there armed resistance?" "Palestinians are being told diplomacy won't work?" No. Hamas demands Israel to stop existing, which totally negates chance of diplomacy. Arafat declared a Palestinian state a long time ago and many countries recognized the state, hostilities have only escalated since.
