He still had the box and everything, even the gift receipt. I checked it at his place and when I got home just to make sure nothing was going on with it and everything was still in it, and it's 100% working with nothing taken out. I couldn't believe my luck. My £150 case has an acrylic window. If you've ever had to clean up the gazillion little cubes that safety glass shatters in to, especially from inside a PC and it's components, then you'll appreciate an acrylic window. Not to mention that it doesn't hold heat in the same way as glass. Sure it scratches but it's also cheap and simple to polish out or replace. Then there's all kinds of things you can do with engraving and strategic lighting. Acrylic rocks.

What an amazing deal, I might just buy one of these as a place holder till Christmas time. I was going to build my kid his first PC about that time but I’m also in need for a machine after moving from Alaska, shipping my old system was going to cost more than it was worth! I am super undecided what I want to build next but this would hold me over and then just hand it down to him in a few months. By then the new CPU and GPU should have hopefully hit the market.

I bought a similar ROG system back in Dec. 2021. I thought the 5700G CPU was a decent choice but just upgraded to a Ryzen 7 5700X that supports PCIE 4.0 vs. the 5700G at PCIE 3.0 and this was QUITE a difference! All aspects improved including my RAM, GPU, and storage performance by over 20% running STOCK where I had the 5700G over-clocked. With discounts and reward dollars I got the 5700X on Amazon for $200! A WORTHY upgrade indeed. The system as reviewed for $500 is a GREAT buy! I wanted a little more juice and at the time GPU's were at INSANE prices. At $500 you can cheaply add more RAM and storage but the GPU will stutter playing AAA games. Now you can pickup a new/used GPU much cheaper than 6months ago and make the system shine even more!

what fans your recommend i’m new to pc’s and this is my first

@@thee12th I would suggest Artic f8 80 mm fans, make sure they are 80 mm if you buy another one because I think this case can only fit 80 mm fans. You can buy these fans on Amazon for 20 for a 3 pack which is perfect, if the case supports 120 mm fans I would suggest going with something by lian li or Corsair. One more thing, make sure your motherboard can support 3 fans, to do this look on all around the edge of your motherboard and look for headers that are labeled “fan header”, one fan requires 1 of these headers, so if you have 3, then you can use 3 fans so on and so forth. Also if your fans are rgb then you will need a rgb header for each fan. If I were you and new to pc building, I would just get no rgb fans so you don’t have to worry abt that, and then upgrade later. Hope that helps!! Reply if you have any difficulties

All that can be added since prices on all of that is cheaper than it was over the last two years. Ive seen 1tb m.2s for 70 bucks, 16gb RAM for 50 bucks, alot of people getting rid of old 3200 RAM and PCIE3 m.2 drives for dirt cheap.

When did you guys buy the PC? Both the Walmart and Amazon links have it for close to $700 which still isn't a bad price. There was no price listed for the Costco link.
@Ryan-re1rs2 жыл бұрын
People are saying that's the 3rd party price. Costco is the way to get it and you don't need to be a memeber.

@@Ryan-re1rs Oh. That makes sense. Thanks for letting me know.
@BREEZYM60152 жыл бұрын
@@Ryan-re1rs I searched for the Costco nearest me and found the PC for $499 and it appears to be in stock. Amazon and Walmart are charging more so I would avoid buying it from them unless they lower the price or price match. I hope it's still on sale in October so I can buy one to give to my son for his 18th birthday. This will give me time to save up to buy it.

Nice thing about it having a legit motherboard and other parts is spend 100-150 more get 16gb of ram and a new case with airflow. I know those parts don't bring a whole lot of heat but definitely wouldn't be a bad thing to help keep them healthier for longer. But as is its more than suitable til upgrades are possible

I wished they'd bring prices down for those that want to build their own computer and not have to come up with a huge chunk of money to buy a prebuilt one...these days even used equipment and parts are so expensive, it's ridiculous if you just want to chose what goes into your computer...although newegg does have a option to build your computer and if you want only pay $100 to have someone put it together for you but still the parts are very expensive, it's suppose to be cheaper to build your own insead of just buying a prebuilt one.
