Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became one of the youngest ever vocalists to win an international Got Talent Show! Welcome to Angelina, a prodigy that is soon to launch into fame! This was the song that introduced me to her. She has constantly gotten better but when she burst on the scene at age 7 she was already phenomenal!! I wasn't used to jazz five years ago when I got sucked into Angelina's world. I'm 58 and mostly stayed with 60's-early 80's Rock, Top 40 and Soul/R&B. I've dabbled in other genres from time-to-time on 1-2 year adventures, but never really was into jazz. I did like Norah Jones for her first couple albums then my ADHD took me elsewhere. Since discovering Angelina and getting used to jazz embellishments and styles, I've barely listened to anything else in the last 5 years. I've listened to her sing for at least a thousand hours as well as watched many hundreds of hours of reactions to her. I have found the best way to listen to her is with good headphones and with my eyes closed to just focus on her rich, complex, and very emotional voice. Many fans say "If you want to hear a great song - listen to the original. If you want to FEEL it, listen to Angelina cover it."

She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, "Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity. Now 18 years old, living in Los Angeles, and currently signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. The Barefoot Jazzy Queen Angelina. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on KZbin. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on KZbin went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a KZbin video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on KZbin. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. In November 2023, she was presented as a debutante at Le Bal des débutantes in Paris. On 12/08/23 she released new Marry Christmas EP “Driving Home for Christmas”. On 12/10/23 she sing in Oslo at the Nobel Peace Prize Celebration - Unchained Melody tribute to 2023 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi. On february 29, 2024 she had two concerts in Las Vegas, Nevada,on the Elvis stage. On May 16, 2024, the first fruits of Angelina's cooperation with Tobi Gad were released. This German composer and record producer based in Los Angeles invited Angeline to an intimate concert at the Hotel Cafe JESSE & FRIENDS, the same one where Adel sang and was discovered. Tobi then took Angelina to London, where she performed His song If I Were A Boy at the London Palladium, and they recorded two versions of the song, Live At Saint James Church, and another studio version illustrated with a film from the streets of London. It seems that Tobi has started cooperation with Angelina and there are several joint songs in the pipeline. At the May concert in Los Angeles, one of them was presented: BAD VALENTINE. Angelina perform Concert at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA on Sept. 20th, 2024. On the same day she released her new orginal singiel in cooperation with Tobi Gad Bad Valentine.

Dear Sir, She started singing at age 18 MONTHS and practices her craft since she was 3,5 years old, almost daily. The Good Lord gave her a unique voice and a very high intelligence to work with. A class mate told a Norwegian TV-Team, that Angelina is very good at mathematics and languages. She speaks Norwegian, Swedish, English, Persian Farsi, Japanese and a bit of French and German. She plays Piano and Guitar for sure. She composed since around age 10 more than 100 songs, most of them not yet published. Angelina at age 13 was in her 6th year as a performing artist. She won Norway's Got Talent at age 8, singing Billie Holiday. Her wise and loving family refused all offers from record labels and Disney, allowing her to have a childhood. They traveled the world, preferring to have Angelina perform at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony at age 8 and numerous events which raised money for charity. Funny you mentioned Marcelito Pomoy, as he got more votes than Angelina on America's Got Talent, The Champions, to reach the Top 5. Angelina's most popular performance was on AGT, singing her genius arrangement of "Bohemian Rhapsody" which the members of Queen loved so much they allowed her to copyright her version. Angelina will surprise you with EVERY song she sings and it is all about telling the story of the song and conveying the proper emotions. If you want another new artist to react to, then I recommend the rock band, The Warning, which is comprised of 3 sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. The sisters are ages 24, 22 and 19 and touring to support their 4th album. I love every song they have written. Just like Angelina, The Warning have been performing for 10 years. @@andyschnell58 Andy the audio can not be in her 13th year but was enhanced in 2019. Actually this was originally published on April 6 2018 after having received the mic for her 12th birthday from her uncle Michael nearly four months late of her birthday born on January 10 2006, there are other video's posted on Angelina's official cover channel in April that year showing her using the Neumann TLM 102 mic. This information was published in an interview article with Michael in 2019 which he stated all these facts. The video had been screen copied by someone and posted on KZbin but the audio was out of sync then her original video was taken down due to many complaints in the comments about her using the mic backwards. Boris Palenovski got his video from the second source and corrected the audio sync issue and enhanced the sound and republished it on Dec 10, 2019. But due to the interview being in 2019 he wrongly set her age to 13 and will not change it. There are literally hundreds of testimony's to attest to her age of 12 which I have gathered and put some on Boris's page and I have personally seen her original video with comment in the description saying "I have just received this Neumann TLM 102 mic for my birthday and just want to try it out" dated April 6 2018.
