Police stations are public property. They’re owned and paid for by the state, ie the people. However if an area is clearly marked as restricted access then the public is not allowed to enter those areas. I don’t know if that parking lot has any no trespassing or restricted access signs. I know there is a sign that says the garage is restricted access but that sign does not apply to the parking lot outside. Also a lawful order is not any order a police officer gives you. In this situation they could ask him to leave but if there is no sign restricting the area then they cannot legally force him to leave unless he is committing an actual crime. Then again police can technically arrest anyone any time for anything. The courts are where we hash out the legality of these things.

The parking lot had no physical sign to indicate restricted access, only the building has that for the building, which is how this all happened, however, Wrangler heavily abuses the court system knowing how long it takes and the fact not many people are willing to go through it for trivial matters

The Sign is actually next to the 2 garage doors at 1:20. I actually got into an argument with someone on public server for that (i wanted to ask police an question and they arrested me for trespassing and specificly showed me that sign)

That parking lot was private parking spot for the cop cars. The public spot is on the front. Therefore it was private property. But I agree there’s need to be a sign at all time for the reason of it being a police station open for the public.

Public property is owned by the government. PD is a part of the government. Now you can restrict access to some public property, which that would fall under, but it has to properly marked as no trespassing or restricted area only government employees. No signs it is for public access.
