One thing you could have mentioned is if you look at the video they dropped a number of bombs one after another. This way they could guarantee much deeper penetration than just one bunker buster and one normal guided bomb. THey did this to all 5 buildings. Some of these buildings kept the roofs intact with the explosions coming from underneath. So that means that the ground penetrating bombs and the subsequent followups were designed to hit a spot on the sidewalk beside the building with a steep penetration angle with the penetrating bomb and then a couple of more for more explosive power, ie to kill with the blast waves. The reports are that Nasrallah wasnt killed by shrapnel he was found with his body in tact but dead, due to the blast wave of pressure.

If you simply look at the videos from the site and listen to the news, you would understand that these bombs didn’t just “level the buildings”, but rather created an enormous hole a few tens of meters deep, which looks like the gate to hell. Just a quick note: I think you got the concept of laser guidance wrong. The bomb itself doesnt emit a laser (as shown in the video). The laser is emitted by an aircraft or ground asset and is turned on sometime before the bomb impacts. The seeker of the bomb just looks for the laser reflection on the target and homes in on that. It might be beneficial to turn the laser on the last moment before the impact since the laser can be spotted by the enemy. Either by eye (unlikely because I think everyone by now uses frequences not visible to the human eye) or a technical device (actually quite likely depending on the technology level of the opponent). Therefore you might want to keep the time with active emitting laser as short as possible. In that case the bomb just travels on a calculated "dumb" trajectory until the laser is lit and the bomb homes in for the extra precision or against moving targets (with restrictions by physics due to the bomb having limited range and steering).
