One of the best documentaries I've ever. I'm an 80-year-old American who until recently didn't pay much attention to the problems in Israel between Palestinians and Jews. The past couple of months I've gotten up to speed by watching videos like this one. I am definitely sympathetic with the Palestinians. I am disappointed that many of my friends seem to ignore the abuse inflicted upon Palestinians by the Israeli occupiers. Some seem to endorse apartheid and believe the Palestinians should just leave. And, 5 separate times, Israel has offered land for peace to the Palestinians. However, the Palestinians have always rejected these offers and opted for war instead.

I was in Hebron and other cities in the West Bank in 2018. Something that stuck out was the insularity and unfriendliness of settlers, most of whom had American accents and I assume are US citizens. They asked if I was Jewish, and when I said no, they immediately lost interest. The Palestinians were lovely and hospitable, and seemed like normal, relatable people on the other hand. They had insurmountable obstacles in their everyday life but were nonetheless genuinely inviting towards me and held no prejudice against my being a US citizen despite my government’s ongoing support of Israel. Of course the big shocker was the overhead nets that were laden with bottles and trash, and couldn’t believe it was all thrown from above by settlers. Glass, bleach, urine, feces, they would just throw it onto anyone below. They dissected Hebron and gave part of it exclusively to settlers in response to a white US citizen who moved there and committed a mass shooting at a mosque. It’s so absurd I had to fact check everything I was hearing because I thought the Palestinians might be exaggerating, but they weren’t. The racism was also unbelievably in the open. One settler told me “you can hitch hike back to Jerusalem, and don’t worry, Arabs aren’t allowed to drive so whoever picks you up isn’t Arab”. I have no idea how she could be so oblivious, I obviously came from the Arab part of the city on the other side of the partition, so why would I fear Palestinians? Traveling to Israel and the West Bank made me pro-Palestinian to say the least. It’s unbelievable how obvious and simple the situation is when you go there, blatant colonialism, racism, and cultural genocide. It’s not too complex, too foreign, or difficult to understand. It’s surprisingly simple when you go to the West Bank. Unfortunately, there is an extremist, cult-like settler culture that is quite disturbing and it is palpable in Hebron. I believe that their US citizenship should be revoked for illegally moving into internationally recognized Palestine to act as an occupying presence committing a racist apartheid in service of their extremist religious convictions. It’s seriously like a cult.

Christian here. I'm with the innocent, every day citizens of Palestine. I could not fathom having to tolerate people throwing trash down on my home and family. Also, they would have to shoot me if they thought they were going to take my 13 year old daughter. No way! I admit my wrongs here and now. As a Christian in America, without even thinking, I sympathized with Israel. That is because, as a Christian in America (especially the southeast US), support of Israel is expected, compulsory. That is not a flaw in Christianity. It is a flaw of some of the erroneous beliefs people in the hierarchy of Christian churches and among laypeople. Recently, I have been studying about Islam and the Arabic language for my own personal enrichment and because I do want to better understand the cultures of the Islamic nations. As I have closely followed news from the war, I really came to question the treatment handed down to Palestinian civilians who are only trying to live their lives, support their families and have hopes and dreams like every other human in this world. It's not even a religious matter. It is a matter of innocent every day people who are being horribly treated and expected to tolerate it. This video intentionally hides a lot of information, there are always 2 sides to a story. Like for example did you know that Palestinians were offered their own country? What is current day Israel, West bank, and Gaza, was to be divided in 2 to form Israel and Palestine. The Israeli's agreed, and Palestine refused, because they said they would not share the land with Jews. The Palestinians then immediately turned to terrorism, and started slaughtering the Israeli Jews. The Jews fought back, there was a war, and Israel won. If Palestine would have just agreed to split the area, they would have equal land as Israel today. Furthermore, every time the Palestinians have been given freedom, they use that freedom to launch kill as many people as possible with endless terrorism, just like all the other Muslim nations. This is why Israel refuses to let them have that freedom now, it is out of necessity for survival. I do agree that Israel needs to be much more careful with their shooting, and bombing of civilians, but I cannot blame them for maintaining military control over Palestinian areas. The plight of the Palestinians, is the fault of the Palestinians.
