I thought they replaced the quest for killing Spectral Knight, thank god I didn't sell the royals I found

In the data mined stuff they did replaced the quest, however I think Ironmace backtracked due to how easily players could get multiple gold coin chests, so they reverted back to the original 4 legendary gem quest.

wait you can get them in normals on crypts? wiki only said inferno or ice abyss for normals

In my runs, I have not gotten any legendary items in general on Ruins, however in Crypts or Inferno I have gotten them in the heavy ornate, lionhead and golden chest. My first legendary was the ruby and I pulled it out of the heavy ornate, so I was super surprised.

It's a change of this wipe, before it was not possible but now u can find royal gems on metal Chests in the crypts, also in Royal coffins
