Why are the narrations always telling us how much force is exerted by comparing it to how many elephants would weigh as much? I don't know how much an elephant weighs. I dont own an elephant, and I don't personally know anyone who owns one, aside from perhaps the local zoo. FFS, use something more practical, like a car maybe? Nobody knows how heavy exactly elephants are. They're heavy alright. But they vary between two tons for a female Asian elephant and five tons for a large male African elephant. Everybody knows that a ton is heavy, too. So why tf not state the weight in tons, which would give you an exact number, to begin with? Not to mention that pressure, by definition, factors in the surface area the force of that weight is applied to.
