it's the starting positions for the team's pick after the roulette to pick the track

they "pick" specific tracks based on their starting positions (previous race results) as some tracks are better for different positions. a skill based track like moonview or bowser castle u want to be starting in the top positions but if you have bad positions you want a "luck"/reset track like luigi circuit or grumble volcano. also some tracks like bc64 because of the long straight at the start positions like 1,4 can be benefitial as fourth can immediately draft first place

To Monopolize Shock. shock is the most powerful item in this team competition. when timed right it hinders all opposing team players while keeping all teammates protected
