Great custom, looks beautiful, im planning on doing a custom like this as well, when taking the model apart are there any parts which can break easily during the disassembly, asking because i have had bad experience in the past with disassembly and breaking parts etc.

i just have 1 minor detail to comment, i wish you painted that little line under the side mirror and door side the color silver.. on the side of the car, there is a sort of exhaust for the hot air in the engine bay at the start of the door, there is a line which splits this exhaust into upper and lower.. i just wish you painted it silver.. look at 12:05 for reference, it is silver in the picture ..if you see real pictures of the monza in black or red, that small line is silver and stands out quite a bit..

So interesting to see how many laborious hours went into making this. When you made the decals on the computer, did you copy the size from the original “Monza SP1” script on the original Bburago, or did you test print multiple times to see what fit best on the rear buttress? In general, is there a good way to get Ferrari and Lamborghini logos/scripts already scaled, or is it just a matter of test printing the images from Google and resizing over and over?

I did not copy the size of the Bburago model as it is way to big. I measured the size off my BBR SP2 and used that as a reference.

I just do simple artwork using Powerpoint on my PC, then print it out on some clear decal paper and apply that decal to a thin metal plate.

You have to replace that logo if you repaint the Bburago, I replaced it with a BBR Ferrari Decal

Astonishing result all throughout, i wish i had those skills. Obviously that s not a BBURAGO anymore, i mean apart from all the work and time put into it, i cant imagine how much money you invested in the materials ( carbon decals, paints, racing harneses , mesh , other decals etc. ) . If i were to try to upgrade a model car like this, aproximately how much money is needed to invest ?

Its hard to tell the cost but probably around AUD$150 in materials plus the BBR base and case. In labour the model took 2 weeks full time to build

@@ROBSMODELCARS it would take me 2 months 😅🤣 . And not even half as good of an outcome. Btw, i am just starting to use carbon decals, i m uprading 1/43 scale models. My last " project " is a Bburago Signature Edition LaFerrari Aperta, the launch spec. I tried to bring it as close to a Looksmart Bbr standard. Obviously there is slight room for improvement. I added the carbón decals, cloth seatbelts hand made, added hand made tiny parts such as the shift paddels behind the steering wheel, pedals ( brake accel) , side windows hand made, interior rear view mirror etc. I wish u could see it and give me your honest feedback on it. I repeat its my first project Where i ve used carbón decals .

Hey Rob! Do you wet sand the diecast before painting primer on it?

No, I just use wax and grease remover to give it a thorough clean, then apply the primer. 2K primer has more 'Grab' than hobby primer, so no need to sand the metal
