Love the strategy that you are using, it 's quite clever. Thx for the great explanation. You covered the design well. I also thought the breadboard using sticky copper foil also a great way to build this mixer. Again, thx for taking the time in sharing your clever mixer design.

Thanks! I first saw this design in projects from S53MV.

Nice. What are the rf diodes you used in this?

Nice one again, thanks! Regarding the stubs, the quarter wavelength long is clear, but does their width have much impact?
@AllElectronicsChannel
@AllElectronicsChannel 2 жыл бұрын
The width will change the impedance of the stub!! To get a deeper notch you use a larger width, so the impedance is lower than the 50ohm line

@@AllElectronicsChannel thanks for the quick response. Is this just the attenuation here or does this also impact the Q?
@AllElectronicsChannel

It changes the Q also! Larger stub will have wider notch

Thanks, sounds like this will take some experiments to really get a good idea on

what is the 1 Mhz used for? why are you using 1Mhz to modulate the 2Ghz?

Your explanation is not accurate. The output RF is not LOx2, is (LOx2) +/-IF. You will be able to see it by reducing the span and BW of spectrum analyzer due to small value of 1MHz.
