In total a brass trombone has 9 feet of tubing. Straightened that's enough to reach from the floor to the ceiling. "But of course,trombone makers are more interested in musical highs and lows". I liked this part. :D

I've played trombone for 7 years now, and have gone through many different horns. I took a trip to the Edwards factory this summer and tried out a bunch of horns and got fitted for a T-350, but then I got to try the new Alessi T369-A, and I fell in love with it. I ordered one, and am awaiting it's arrival, but let's just say, Edward's "worth the wait" policy is really setting in after 3 months of waiting. Oh well, the price of quality I guess.

its callled an f attachment which takes the trombone to 7th position from first and does lots of other notes with the push of a trigger. you're welcome.

I like how, at the very beginning, the slide is on the wrong side of the trombone. It clearly should be on the right side, because of the way the valve is positioned.

In case everyone who is complaining about how the man was holding it wrong, and that the trigger was on the 'wrong' side, you should listen to the fact that the woman said it was a CUSTOM made trombone, and that there is no wrong or right way to have to instrument made.

Depends on what kind of trombone you are trying to get. Student straight horns run about $400-$600. Advanced trombone (one valve normally) run about $1200-$2000. Professional single valve trombones run about $2000-$2500. Professional Bass trombones (what they are playing on at the end of this video) run about $2500-$5000. Take it from me, I'm a music major...bass trombone!

I played trombone for four years in school.Ah,but those WERE the days!!Lots of fun in the marching band,and it was very competitive trying to get to first chair and stay there.i'm 64 now and haven't played since then,but I could still pick one up and play the C scale. 31431313!!Yeah,baby!Good times!(And I never realized how complicated they are to make.)

to TheMovieCreator: If your figures are from your local currency, 10,000 Norwegian Kroner equal about 1,400 US Dollars at this point (just shy of 7 Kroner to 1 Dollar). It was probably not much different 4 months ago. You have to remember that this is an American program so they use US prices. Exchange rates are important to note.
