Jamaica is undergoing remarkable transformation with key infrastructure and business developments leading the way. The National Water Commission (NWC) has activated the 600mm Ferry pipeline, replacing the outdated 18-inch system to improve water supply for communities such as Washington Gardens, Molynes Road, and Olympic Way. This upgrade, along with the 900mm pipeline serving Downtown Kingston, ensures more reliable water distribution and resilience during dry periods, benefiting both residential and commercial customers.
At the same time, Ferry, Kingston, is emerging as a hub for innovation and economic growth. Nestlé Jamaica invested US$12 million to develop a state-of-the-art distribution complex powered by solar energy, meeting 30% of its energy needs. ATL Automotive injected US$3 million into a bond store and inspection center to streamline vehicle delivery processes, while Tropical Battery spent $60 million building a solar-powered headquarters, reducing energy costs by $500,000 per month.
Also UDC has big plans for Caymanas Estate
From improved water access to sustainable business operations, these projects showcase Jamaica’s commitment to progress, innovation, and resilience. Watch now to see how these initiatives are reshaping communities and driving growth!

Jamaica will never run out of green space over the next 5000 years..the population is getting bigger so development have to take place.. and take place where they are easily connected..
@Wes20231
@Wes20231 Ай бұрын
Actually the population is declining as Jamaicans today are having 1.5 children instead of the 2.5 which will ensure population growth. In less than 100 years our population will be 1.5 million similar to what we were in the 1960s

Don't bank on that. Green space can run out. What is causing the lost of hundred of lands in the rain forests of Africa?

Such beautiful greenery! I hope some will be left intact, since tree roots holds the soil preventing corrosion, and help to combat carbon monoxide …

Just discovered your channel, loving the content so far. I must say I am really pleased with your attitude and outlook for your country. Too many naysayers, negative Debbie Downers in the country. Rapid development is happening all across the island but way too many choose to be sheep instead of shepherds. All they dwell on is what’s on social media, who’s beefing with who and who’s hooking up with who. No wonder so many Chinese, Indians and other new comers to Jamaica are leaving us behind business wise. People worrying about the wrong things in life and not becoming entrepreneurs and owners of businesses. Loving the progress of the country, I would advise anyone to get involved and invest in appreciating assets instead of all the latest fashion or automobile, all those will come eventually if you choose that lifestyle. Invest into something productive people, even the local stock market. One love and continued growth

That’s a good point, so far I am seeing a good balance. Matter of fact the island forest has grown by over 4% in the last 3-5 years from 117 hectares to 122.

The authorities are currently not implementing weighbridges along the highways. The weight of commercial vehicles must be monitored to ensure compliance with vehicle specifications and applicable road regulations.

I clicked on your video because of the caption “How Jamaica is solving its water crises”, but instead, your emphasis was on UDC land for sale. I am interested to know the plans JA has to resolve its water problem, primarily in Kingston. Large multi dwelling buildings are being constructed and I am curious about the water source to support these buildings.

I really enjoyed seeing those trees in that area whenever i come to jamaica and drive by....i really wished that they would leave them there...and now this....they should have used up the massive cane field area and leave tbose trees alone....cant just cut down the natural beauty of the country in the name of development..using the cane field would have been a win win ...
