The Philadelphia Eagles are having a really good off-season. First, they signed Haason Reddick to a 3-year deal. Then during the NFL Draft, they traded for star receiver AJ Brown and gave him a monster extension. On top of this, they still had ammo leftover from their Carson Wentz trade. They were able to draft Jordan Davis and Nakobe Dean from Georgia’s defense.
This week, they added another talented player to their roster! They were able to sign James Bradberry to their defense on a one-year deal worth 10 million dollars. In this video, I wanted to look at what he brings to this Eagles defense, and how he’ll instantly upgrade their secondary.

I LOVED the James Bradberry signing for the Eagles! Great zone CB. I think this is a rebound year for him.

Also Bradberry doesn't have to be left on an island vs WR1. My Eagles Run a Zone Scheme, and Darius Slay is CB1, so Bradberry will look a while lot better in this Eagles Defense. Not to Mention Jessie Bates III is showing interest in the Eagles, so if we get him our secondary goes from good to great.

Though I, obviously, couldn't click this one fast enough- given my team allegiance. I just wanted to give you props, Samuel. You always bring a non-biased perspective to your vids; matching player talent to scheme fit, while giving positives and negatives. You and Brett are two of my favorite film analyst KZbinrs- you both seem to be fans, while being more in love with the game itself, and properly suppressing any team fandom in your vids. Great stuff, per usual 🤙🏼

@@thomassankara1391 getting faster at LB this offseason, is going to help that defensive zone scheme, as well. And, although Dallas has a good receiver group, I won't miss seeing Cooper twice a year. With their losses this year, esp on both lines, that NFCE crown is getting heavier and heavier... I say we help relieve them of it 😉

@@SamuelGoldNFL I get that, for sure. But, as a Washington fan- I bet Dallas' offseason has made you smile. 😏 I know it has me! Y'all are improving, too... ON the field. Just need a certain family to cede ownership and vacate the premises...

Truthfully , I like Jessie bates but we already have a good safety in Marcus epps and an okay one in Anthony Harris , Marcus Epps played so good that they had to make a 3 man rotation, and Harris is pretty solid. I rather save the cap space and use it to sign a someone for the oline for some added depth

Haven't been this excited, through an offseason, since 2018. I am not expecting SuperBowl, or even NFC Championship, but I think we've legitimately caught Dallas in talent; and with making the playoffs last year (a season we weren't supposed to do so), the future is looking good! Let's fly Green!!

@@rolmodel12. yessir. We came into this draft with needs at WR, LB, DE, DT, C, CB, S, and Howie Roseman filled all of them aside from Safety. And we can still get Jessie Bates III. I believe Hurts will take a Lamar type Jump from his 1st Season to 2nd Year where he won Unanimous MVP. Not in terms of him winning MVP, but the Accuracy will be there, abd the Mechanics will improve. I'm getting ahead of my myself I'm so stoked and ready for this football season.

@@thomassankara1391 yeah, with the drama of the last couple of offseasons; Roseman NEEDED to have a solid one this year. Even though, in hindsight, last year's was laying a foundation- it was just hard to not get caught up in the polarizing drama that was Carson Wentz. But, Howie stayed the course and came out with back-to-back solid efforts. Now, we just need the team to gel. And with a good mix of young and old, I think there's a winner here. Hurts most important attribute is his attitude: the kid is humble and a hard worker, and the talent is obvious. I agree with you, I think he's about to make his detractor's eat their words. And I love keeping Gardener around as a competitive, team-oriented, winner to push him. With health and continued development of a young coaching staff, receiving corp, and linebacker room... thing's are looking bright. And in May, that's all I can ask for. Now, if we can juuust work on Reagor's hands/confidence 😏

Great video Sam. Not expecting Bradberry to come in and be a Pro Bowler like he was in 2020, but I think he’s a definite upgrade to Nelson and the one area Slay sometimes struggles in is matching up against big physical WRs and Bradberry is great matching up with those types. Really pumped not just for him and Slay, but also Maddox who to me had to be in the discussion last year for one of the better slot corners.

He’s a major upgrade over Nelson & he can also matchup with the bigger, more physical WRs in short yardage situations. His route recognition & closing speed are very impressive.

Man I am super glad the eagles beefed up their pass rush… especially with the acquisition of Hasson reddick. He gets into the backfield quick and really causes commotion… then you got the giants like cox Davis and hargrave… and Josh sweat coming off a pro bowl year (same w hargrave) and I’m lowkey exited more for nakobe dean because he can actually get after the QB quick. I think nakobe wins the starting job wether either week 1 or near week 3. He will by far be the smartest player on the field and he’s got leadership intangibles. I’m not super high on safeties as long as they can make tackles it’s fine… someone like jaquaski tartt or chuck Clark would be a perfect fit but someone like bates would give us more superstar plays… I think the eagles will primarily be a running team opening up the season just to get their identity then transition into passing. However I gotta see Jalen hurts be more ballsy… idc… if it’s a one on one give him a chance
