Janet is & will always be the blueprint. You don’t need to growl in a microphone to be a star! This women made a lane for herself! Constantly reinventing her sound and looks! She is the definition of an ICON! Janet also has some the sickest arrangements and melodies when it comes to music!! Janet will always be Queen! & I hope 2020 that she makes up for lost time! I believe that she’ll have her moment again! Damita Jo was such a solid project!!!!!! FUN FACT: The New Jack Swing sound originated from Control.

What's crazy it was Janet's Velvet Rope tour that gave NSYNC major buzz being her opening act before their debut album. Then to ask him(of all people) to perform at SUPERBOWL. She did so much for his career. For him not to go harder for her then will forever be WACK. But, if it weren't for Janet there wouldn't be KZbin, that's how naturally ICONIC she's always been.. My question is how Madonna is known as the queen of pop but Janet influenced more and in my opinion a bit more talented. I’m not saying I hate Madonna since she’s an icon but just stating my opinion
@adontecook8104 жыл бұрын
George Bennett Because Madonna is as influential and innovative as Janet and has the body of work to show for it. Janet is excellent, but so is Madonna let’s keep in mind Madonna continued great success in her career after 4 decades just like Janet. You can’t have one without the other if we’re being real.
@nigelmorris7904 жыл бұрын
Madonna is more successful of course and broke more sexual boundaries when it fake to music. And I wouldn’t use the more talented argument because Janet is more of a dancer and Madonna is very creative with her shows. Concepts. Albums. Everything

George Bennett most acts emulate Janet. From Kylie to Britney to Beyoncé That r/b pop mix with dancing with some mellow gems thrown in However - madonna is harder to emulate bc she takes all these risks and changes things up . I love both btw

Oh TPTB tried so hard to not only damage her reputation, but destroy her entire legacy. She accomplished far too much in her career to ever be forgotten. 1. 27 Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 songs. 10 of them going #1 2. 16 #1 R&B Songs 3. The Rhythm Nation tour is the biggest selling debut tour ever by an artist (almost 2.5 million tickets sold) 4. Her music pioneered 3 music subgenres. (Control pioneered New Jack Swing, the single That's The Way Love Goes pioneered Neo-soul, and The Velvet Rope pioneered Alternative R&B). 5. She is a main inspiration and influence among every female (solo or group) performer within the last 25 years. 6. She has sold well over 100 million albums and singles worldwide. She has achieved so much more, but these are only a few examples. What she has done can't be done by a novelty act or washed-up has been. It's done by a living legend because that is what she is. There is only one Janet Jackson. #AllHailTheEmpressOfPop
