I did judo 30 years...whats really intriguing is after big tournaments say Saturday we would do a practice/ training camp all together Sunday morning. Imagine a guy crushing your NCAA dream but the next day learning from him and practicing together!!...that level of putting the sport first is what sets Japanese culture apart and ahead.

Would these guys be accepting of visitors who are not world class? I was a very average greade school wrestler and still participate in and love the sport. Would love to go to Tokyo and train there if I wasn't a waste of everyone in the room's time.
