There are two aspects to this: 1. There has been a sharp increase on reaction channels and travel vlogs on India appreciating our food and culture for viewership, which is largely driven by inferiority complex of Indians to seek validity from foreigners, particularly westerners. While on platforms as YT it's positive advertisement of India, the counter is true for platforms as X, where saying negative about India to farm engagement is prevalent because rise of India has also made it a target of many (China too went through the same phase of targeted attacks during it's rise, however internet isolation protected it's domestic masses from it). 2. This is also a golden opportunity for India to exercise its demographic dividend to push its soft power. While on one hand it's not ideal to be driven by inferiority complex, it has produced its own positive side-effects. From the comments it's evident that many are aware of this and hence those aware should exercise it to mold content available through guiding viewership, educating our own on to exercise this power we hold. The command of Indians on English language (another colonization appendage) has also proven to be a boon in the narrative warfare in the present age of global geopolitics. So, we view how deeply undesirable traits of colonization (inferiority complex and language) are proving to have positive impact in the age of internet. However, we must not allow it to guide our behavior rather only as a stepping stool in journey to our rise.
