I thought, from the very beginning, that Jeremy got treated really unfairly because people were pissy about Ray leaving. Plus there's always that awkward period where someone new is finding their niche; their content creator voice. I think that once people heard those iconic words "I am Monster Truck" they shut up and recognized that he brought real talent. Matt was fairly well known for his map creations and the World Cup video. Trevor, I honestly didn't get him for a while, until I realized he was all about the chaos.

I felt the same to be honest. I wasn't butthurt over Ray leaving and when I saw Jeremy and Myatt get hired I thought that was actually them asking and Geoff was like fuck it you're hired. I never knew until now that it was planned lol. For Myatt his dry sense of humor and humongous amount of creativity on Minecraft made me relate to him so I liked him after getting to know what he was about. Trevor was the one that I didn't understand for a while and I wasn't a fan of him. He just annoyed me for some reason but not until like this year or end of last year I started to like the content he was producing. I honestly don't see why many people didn't like these three talented individuals, they're all very creative, funny, and a good mix to AH! I'm very happy that they were able to live their dreams and work for AH cause I know not many are able to live their dreams.

@@Epsi_TBCG Jeremy and Matt were brought up before as being community members, and having interned. I felt from the beginning that they had earned their place. It says something about the fandom's toxicity (won't get started about Fiona, that was a hot mess on both AH's and the fans' part) that they took out their Rayngst on Jeremy. You would think they would have took to the "ascendant fan" thing and been happy for him, much like Peter Capaldi was greeted as Dr Who despite being kind of a casting throwback.

It also didn't help in Jeremy's case how similar he was to Ray in terms of comedy (they both have the same overall style) as well as skill in games compared to the other AH members. (Both were the longest trophy holders of the VS trophy in their time.) There were a lot of reasons that Jeremy was being compared to Ray. That said, I never understood the hatred for Jeremy. Even if he was like Ray, at least he was excited to play games and things. I think people forget how much Ray checked out at the end of everything. I'm still sad that Ray has yet to do any sort of work with AH again outside of RTX and only one pop-in. I understand that level of burnout with things that may never fully heal. Just hoping we can see more in the future.

@@JamzP14 You have to look at the internal politics going on at the time at RT when Ray left. I don't think he took it personal, but he saw how fast it was going, how they were going corporate, and the prices that would have to be paid eventually. As for the lack of guest collabs, I think he just doesn't want to get people's hopes up and definitely wanted his exit from RT to be a real exit; and not a tease. Plus some people are just great at the Twitch self-structure and make that work for them better than an ordered environment like AH. The current AH thrives with that, and try to have fun even if they are playing Minecraft for the 400th time (I think they broke that milestone this year). Twitch streamers have the freedom to just play Skyrim or any personal favorite if they want a day off.

I always thought Jeremy was a natural fit with the team. Matt was definitely much shyer and quiet when he first started but man he's become one of the funniest guys in the office. I'm so glad these two got into AH, shows us even fans can join their heroes

I did not like Fiona at all at the very beginning because she know what she was doing, mostly by the other crews fault for not teaching her first, and just her adding next to nothing to the content but fast forward to now and she is my most favorite person from AH, I always get giddy with excitement when I realize the video I am about to watch has Fiona in it and can't wait to see hilarious shenanigans she makes

I may not have hated them at first, but I always felt uneasy about how they meshed with the group in content during the early days (and looking back at some of the older videos I don't think I am entirely unjustified as they were trying to find their footing in the group dynamic). That being said I remember the moment I started to like Jeremy specifically. Quiplash Let's Play. Jeremy gets some awesome answers and the audience voted for them. He simply said "I'm the funniest proving the audience wrong". This not only showed that his jokes COULD be liked by the audience if they removed their bias but that he genuinely could create funny moments based on the situations he was in. Matt's came later (though I can't remember when). Jeremy is now my favourite AH member and Matt has such a subtle comedy he implements while acting as AH's punching bag taking it in full stride. In short: LONG LIVE LIL J AND MYATT

The only thing I remember hating about Matt and Jeremy at first was that I couldn't tell them apart in videos. Because they didn't use face cams back then, and two new voices were introduced at the same time, I couldn't tell which one was which. That really annoyed me. If they ever do hire two new people at the same time, they really need to use face cams and put them in seperate videos as much as their in videos together.

After looking at old videos it seems that a lot of hate for these guys was just jealousy. A lot of gamers and viewers wanted to be a part of Achievement Hunter and believed that these two just randomly got hired. So that made a lot of teenagers and cringe adults hate them for what they assumed was untalented dumb luck. Seen so many10 year old comments where someone is saying that they could or should of been hired and not Jeremy and matt. It's nice how this video elaborated the fact they they were making good content before they were hired and also helped out at Achievement Hunter for a week which went well.

Honestly I'd be interested to see a vid for "how Ryan turned out to be an actual sociopath" but I'd be worried Mooncake would get a lot of outside hate just cause it could trigger a lot of people just trying to move on and forget him, so most likely not worth it.
