Jett Lawrence has ascended to the top of the motocross world as the newly crowned AMA Pro Motocross 450 class champion in just his rookie season. It all happened so fast for Jett in the USA, but the foundation that he had already built through his upbringing in Australia to the whole family moving to Europe gave him the tools needed to become an immediate success in America. Hunter was always good, but he had such a bad time and long run with injuries, it’s just been this last season where he has come good and nearly injury free.

Most MX/SX fans have a few riders who are their favorites, they also have a few riders who they dislike the most, and then they have all the “meh” riders (basically everyone who is constantly outside the top 10, 😂) Jett Lawrence should be on everyone’s favorites list. He is a generational talent. Nobody can genuinely dislike this kid. If you aren’t a fan of Jett Lawrence then you shouldn’t be allowed out in public unsupervised. End of story!

Great concise story. Very well put Weege. I'm stoked to be watching history in the making. Didn't really get into watching pro racing until later in Dungey's era and It's been more exciting every year with everything. Love this sport! Given Jetts background and the guys he's learned from, lived with and having Hunter there along the way. All things being equal will produce a much more resilient and well rounded rider than someone with a comfortable ride through the American junior/amateur ranks.
