In cage Jon is high IQ and knows how to use his reach and fights dirty. Much harder to hit than Sergei. Tom in comparison is green without a ton of impressive opponents. Has more energy, way more power but fight IQ isn't on Jon's level and getting inside Jon's reach to land power shots for me seems unlikely. Plus I'll bet Jon took mental notes of Tom blowing out his knee and will oblique kick repeatedly in hopes of ending the fight early because Jon's a dirty bastard that doesn't care if he ends someone's career.
