In my opinion, I don’t think that Jack Rose has narcissism. Night Swan knows that her son has a passion for dancing and becoming a beloved performer, but she knows very little about how he wants his dream to actually be achieved. Back in Locked Out of Heaven, if you notice the crowd he is performing to is full of different fans, not versions of himself like in Treasure. Jack wants to be a successful and adored performer, but not at the cost of being alone. There’s an old saying: “Success means nothing if you don’t have no one to share it with.”

I imagine that when he met the Just Dancers (Sara, Wanderlust, Brezziana and Mihaly), they helped him heal from all the trauma Night Swan gave him and they helped him become a better person. I also imagine that at some point or another, he sees the Just Dancers as his found family.

Oh im so shocked that deities cant partake in this, I was really hoping Si'ha Nova and the Traveler would be part of the story next game! Regardless I feel like somehow their story isn't over yet ether, because the last reward for the y2k season (in the trailer) is an avatar of the traveler and so far the last rewards have been mostly lore relevant! Its funny because Night swan plays on their weaknesses, but if you think about it their weaknesses can be their strengths. Sara's readiness, Wanderlust entrusting, brezzianas ability to help others, Mihaly's ability to perfect their craft, and Jack Rose's ability to use his platform. Its amazing because the very thing that took Night Swan down took Mihaly down as well. Theyre two sides of the same coin, yet good vs bad. These characters are so in depth i love it!

But Night Swan does ballet which is known for being elegant and perfect, while Sara has party dances (being the complete opposite of ballet) and in IYWP Jack Raps, which is something considered as vulgar, once again the opposite of ballet. And ironically enough those two have the closest relationship with Night Swan

For Beggin' and Cygnus story, the only connection he and Night Swan has is that he build the Time-Space Clockwork (where Bring Me To Life takes place) to impress her. And the story of the map is that Cygnus is "begging" for his old lover apologizing for his wrongdoing that he done in the past. Yes this is actually canon

I honestly think the similarities with Sara and nightswan is that they both used to be bad at dancing, they told us that NS had dreams of becoming a ballerina that were shattered and at the begging of JD2023 Sara is shy and in a corner of the couch, so maybe the parallels between the both is that they had insecurities with dancing but one fained more skills through evil and resignation and the other with patience and hope

I have been looking forward to this video ever since you announced it, and BOY do I have some thoughts. This is about to be a LONG comment so I hope you have enough time to read it all until the end. First of all, one thing you neglected to mention was when Night Swan took over Just Dance's social media accounts on the week the previews for the story maps were being released. On the teaser tweet for Treasure, she stated that she "[knows Jack's] power", implying Jack actually has that self-duplication ability in real life. And when someone asked her if he was single, she replied that it wasn't of their concern because Jack is "the son of royalty". Note the phrasing there, she didn't say "prince", she said "son of royalty", implying neither her nor Jack are actually of royal blood, but that Jack's father is a royal by marriage. The "we" in the caption for the little Jack avatar also seems to hint at him being capable of cloning himself IRL; his clones seem to be produced from his reflections in the full-length mirrors around him, and if the original Jack isn't "trying hard enough" to be perfect, neither are the others. Now who do we know who, 1. can clone himself, and 2. married into royalty? 😉 Yeah, sorry to burst your little Jacklust shipper bubble, but my theory is that Jack and Wanderlust are actually half-brothers. I think the Traveler had an affair with the woman who would go on to become Night Swan, and that was what initially made him and Si'ha Nova drift apart, explaining why he's so desperately looking for her when we meet him, and why their reunion map is set to Save Your Tears, which has lyrics that go "I couldn't help it, I put you through Hell", "I don't know why I run away/I make you cry when I run away" and "take me back 'cause I wanna stay". It would also explain why the Traveler, Wanderlust, and Jack all seem to have some kind of mirror manipulation magic (as seen with Discoball's tiles and Jack's mirrors, both of which seem to act more as LED screens than as actual mirrors), why Wanderlust seems to be less powerful than his father and can't clone himself while Jack can (because the Traveler's magic was split in half between the two-let's be real, if Wanderlust could do that, he wouldn't be going around recruiting people, not to mention Jack and the Traveler both seem to have this kind of lone wolf/"I can do it myself" attitude), why Wanderlust and Jack's designs seem to mirror each other with Wanderlust's capelet and Jack's feather shoulder piece, and why Jack is so hostile to Wanderlust when they first meet (the guy is basically the product of Jack's dad abandoning his mom to be with another woman, OF COURSE Jack would be pissed about it). On that topic, another big factor that plays into this is the real-life parallels when it comes to the artists. The Traveler's song, Rock Your Body, was originally intended for Michael Jackson, and both Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars are seen as "heirs" to MJ's artistic legacy, with JT being considered the "official heir", not just through Rock Your Body but also through recording a posthumous duet with Michael via the reworking of the demo Love Never Felt So Good, present in the album Xscape. Bruno, meanwhile, has been at the center of a (since disproven) conspiracy theory surrounding him being not only a bastard son of Michael, but THE bastard child mentioned in his song Billie Jean. This same song was also the one chosen for Michael's iconic Motown 25th anniversary performance that featured the debut of Michael's signature bedazzled glove, which I believe may have inspired the gloves in Just Dance thanks to Michael Jackson: The Experience being developed alongside the first Just Dance game (it was originally slated for a Christmas 2009 release but was delayed). Worth noting is that two songs from Michael Jackson: The Experience, Billie Jean itself and Another Part of Me (from the short film Captain EO, which features Michael as a space traveler defeating an evil witch-queen through the power of music and dance-sounds familiar?), both feature a specific "infinity" hand whip movement in their choreography that is also featured in the Just Dance choreography for Rock Your Body. Back to Bruno, even if the theory surrounding him being Michael's bastard kid has been disproven (Michael has stated the song was inspired by his brothers' experiences in the Jackson 5), it's still gotten enough of an audience that many people have gone on record saying they still believe it, especially here in Brazil. So Justin being the "official" heir and Bruno being an "unofficial"/"bastard" heir = Wanderlust and Jack respectively. Racial coding also plays a big part in this theory. The Traveler clan seems to be coded as an affluent black family (even if the Traveler and Si'ha Nova are portrayed by white dancers), while Night Swan is very much coded as a white European (although ballet dancers can be of any ethnicity, ballet is most commonly associated with European countries like France, Russia and Germany). Jack, meanwhile, has both white and black cultural influences; the latter is most evident in the beta map for Lose Yourself by Eminem (where coincidentally Jack is styled in a way that vaguely resembles the Traveler, with a hood over a beanie and a golden chain draped in a way that resembles the Traveler's golden pendant). Going back to Majesty, Wasiu's rapping juxtaposed with the classical instrumentation and placed in that context could be interpreted as Jack's "voice" in that moment, as him reaffirming his biracial identity and stating that, even if he doesn't possess the royal blood of Si'ha Nova like Wanderlust does, he is still a son of the Traveler and therefore considers himself just as worthy of being called a "Danceverse Prince" like Wanderlust is. That was a lot, but I hope you understand where I'm coming from, and put all of this into consideration.

I'm honestly going to counter point with who I believe to be the sibling of Jack Rose. While Cygnus is a resident, it isn't possible as he made the city that he named after himself called Cygnus. We get to see Cygnus in one other dance, "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" who has Leda Nox as the lead dancer. Leda Nox is a younger Night Swan, so it would be impossible for her to be in a city her young child made before she became a sorceress. I think that Cygnus is the father instead, passing down some of his moves to his son. Instead, I propose Phoenix as the missing sibling, the dancer of "all good girls go to hell". Not only does her style fit generally to Night Swan, but she has a bird motif like Swan and Jack Rose, so it fits there. The Chaos Mountains, where the song takes place, also is in Eternyx, and it would make sense as the song used to turn Sarah into Night Sarah was a Billie Eilish song, kinda like "all good girls go to hell". I think she might be a bit more, and ran away to be her own person away from her crazy mom.

The reason why NS became dark in the first place was because she was a failed ballet dancer who was told she wasn't perfect. Now she wants to enslave coaches and make them her perfect dancers (Hence, why we say "they serve") But he could be talking about Cygnus, which could be JR's brother or father. I think it would make sense for Cygnus to build a whole city for his wife rather than build a whole city for his mom but either works. As for the 8:44 riddle, NS and Sara are the only ones associated with feathers (Not counting JR bcz he's probably forced to have that trait from his mom). Night Wanderlust looks like a sailor, Night Mihaly looks like a panda, Night Brezziana.... is a boxer because she fights dark energy? I noticed that each main character aside from Sara represents a different reason for dancing: Wanderlust - partying/fun Jack Rose - fame Mihaly - meditation Brezziana - fitness I also find it really interesting that Night Swan's dance style is ballet, something very focused with perfection, just like she is Maybe Night Swan is an allegory for that feeling we sometimes get that we have to be perfect at our skills, forgetting our passion for it or doing it for fun

I loved the video, I love the lore of Just Dance and a while ago I created a theory about Night Swan. According to my theory, Eternyx was not always a city of darkness but rather it was a beautiful and golden place as if it were heaven where ballet predominated and everything was elegant. Night Swan was the princess of Eternyx, daughter of the beloved Swan Queen and a demon-like deity. In the old Eternyx everyone was "perfect", with an angelic and beautiful appearance, but Night Swan was not like them, her hair was a beautiful red and her wings were fuchsia instead of white. Being different meant that no one on Eternyx respected her as the princess so when her mother died and she became queen, she took revenge on everyone who ever made fun of her for not being "perfect" enough. That's my theory of how Night Swan ended up like that and why Jack's hair is red :].

I think I have an idea for what the connection could be between Sara and Night Swan. In her lore, it states that she was a ballerina who got her dreams crushed, so, what is something similar happened to Sara? Also, if they add in any songs from Helluva Boss or Hazbin Hotel, I will cry because, it would be so cool to see songs like Poison, Insane, Smile like you mean it, or Cotton Candy in just dance. Would it not? Also I could see Night Swan's other child as being the coach for Boss Witch because she has similar hair to Jack Rose, and she seems like she has some magic powers of her own. Who knows?

At 10:42, she says how Cygnus might be the secret child of Night Swan. She may not be wrong, for if you look closely at Cygnus's hat in Beggin', you can see a swan. This theory has a high possibility of being canon. Either that, or the swan on his hat is a reference to the Cygnus constellation, which represents a swan.

I’m only slightly unhinged about Mihaly lore but i kept thinking about Mihaly and Night Swans connection ever since the game was released and I’m glad it was confirmed here!! Mihaly craves perfection just like Night Swan, and they both have a strong connection to the Flow, its like they are two sides of the same coin, with the same fundamental goals and ‘power’ (flow) but different ultimate directions. (Also on a meta level both have very technical styles and on average harder choreographies) Also I always thought Mihaly is definitely a Melosian especially after seeing their room with some Melosian decor in it, which would somewhat explain an innate affinity for the Flow (see avatar called Child of the Flow) Which led me to a theory about Calypso being Mihaly’s mom because Tusa and Provenza both feature very similar floating crystals to what we see in Mihaly’s maps + temple. Crazy theory but I will cling to it until I’m proven wrong HAHAHA

There’s a new update I guess you could call it and you see a glimpse into the past of nightswan. Spoiler warning btw if you haven’t danced to it already. You see wanderlust’s father and nightswan who pulls her into the just dance verse and she by the end gains the same powers as him (so they’re not related) in the second one she’s by herself. My theory is that something happens between them because clearly they’re not together anymore. So she tries to become a dancer and fails and the weight of her failure is too much for her that she loses it and eventually becomes what she is in the lore - a villain.

Imagine if in the storymode jack rose will contact the traveler since he is wonderlust's dad to open a portal to his mother's ship? I think they are hinting of the traveler's return from 2023 when they introduced wonderlust and in the 2024 he wore the traveler's cape as a sudden hint

My theory is that Night Swan made a mistake in turning Sara as Sara is now more powerful than her, Jack will save the just dancers from themselves (with help from either a sibling or night swan) in an epic dance battle similar to Majesty Also side note does anyone else struggle with the way dark Sara moves in swan lake?? I lose my concentration on the dance so quickly when she starts to dance

Considering that Cygnus means “swan” and that they literally look the same, I came up with 3 theories: 1. Cygnus is adopted(or from another father)and that’s why Night Swan loves Jack more 2.Cygnus is Night Swan’s ex husband and is “beggin” her for another chance 3. (This one is a bit off the rails but whatever) Cygnus isn’t actually related to Night Swan, but wants to date jack rose and is begging her to let him date Jack, maybe Jack and Cygnus are bffs because from what I can tell, they dress quite similarly and I think they would get along.

The past link between Wanderlust and Jack Rose is: they are both children of the Traveler. In other words, they are BROTHERS. What do you think? Night Swan can travel between the Danceverses just like the Traveler and Si'ha Nova. What about?

No but hear me out, what if the reason wanderlust and jack are so close is because either 1. Wanderlust is actually night swan’s second son but she was ashamed of him for some reason so she gave him to wanderlust’s parents. Or 2. They are cousins! Have you seem the similarity between them? The traveler or wanderlust’s mum (I forgot her name) are siblings with night swan and this big family secret was revealed when they were younger. But at the same time for the “we” it would make more sense if Jack and Wanderlust are siblings and wanderlust doesn’t know yet but Jack was told already.

Only thing I didn't like about Wander Lust's Night form is the single Diamond over one of his eyes, it just feels.. off, like it was put there to try and give a more a-symetric look but it would have been better to do two diamonds..

I think that Jack Rose might recruit a new group of friends, to help save the just dancers from Night Swan who 💅serves💅. So maybe we will meet a new batch, and after their song has ended, a cutscene will have Jack Rose coming in to recruit them.
