We are really hard working, kind and loving people, and we do not like it when our intelligence is insulted. We refuse to be boxed in easy to manipulate systems as has been the norm. Hence, why these protests will not subside until we are heard. We are speaking up where our respectable elders could not, against social, political, and economic issues. It is working. This is reflected in most African countries, and I wish this would awaken a revolution and end neo-colonolism once and for all. If that is to happen in this lifetime, only God knows!

Really - only a minority of Kikuyu (Embu and Meru) associated with the Mau Mau - the majority (and all other tribes in Kenya) aligned with the Colonial Government. The Mau Mau were reviled in their time by the majority of Kenyans. It would take 60 years before statues of child murderers were erected in Nairobi (almost takes a generation to forget and redeem what Jomo Kenyatta once famously said should be crushed like a snake under a boot). I love how you tell the African stories! Its a small win for us Kenyans but the fight has just begun; we want justice for the young peaceful protesters who were gunned down, zero tolerance to corruption, accountability and transparency of our money, job creation etc. We will not stop and of course we are watching them! Politicians cant just be promising heaven when campaigning then act arrogantly when elected, they must listen to us or we will force them to listen as we did 😂!

We Nigerians are too afraid to stand up for our rights yet we expect our living conditions to change overnight. We'd rather go to our churches and mosques and pray to God to come and do for us what we can do for ourselves. When are we going to wake up from this slumber?
