The US version is owned by Hershey and like all Hershey, has a low grade, junky taste. I had one recently having abstained for a few years and I was surprised it was worse tasting than I remembered, and now candy bars cost so much more than they used to. I visited the US (from Australia) about 20yrs ago. I was told the chocolate there was not as good as ours, I didn't believe it till I tasted it. Hershey's was rather bad but I never found any commercial choc that was even close to the Australian Choc.
