As a og Kpop fan back when Kpop was seen as a 'weeb' thing .. BTS is the biggest reason Kpop became what Kpop is known today. When PSY 'gangnam style' happened, that actually made it worse for Asian music to actually make it into the U.S. it became such a big viral trend and people treated Kpop as that only, as only the comedic aspect of it. There wasn't any big growth until BTS came into the picture and they just with sheer numbers just destroyed the global music industries. BTS broke stereotypes, They actually really made it possible for Asian artists to be seen Everyone in the Kpop industry knows that Kpop was able to advance into the global music market because of BTS.

Seeing your videos always make me smile Kenji, and yes we need you to do a comparison- personally I think that 2nd and 3rd Gen (especially 3rd) is probably the best for MANY reasons (now don't get me wrong I love 4th Gen but come on y'all really think about it) not to mention he didn't even mention Red Velvet, Mamamoo, and Dreamcatcher- Mamamoo also had the same thing with BTS (growing and started with nothing) and they challenged social norms, Red Velvet not only are they vocally amazing with a lot of R&B (which you should check them out Kenji) but also they were the first group to perform in North Korea, and Dreamcatcher dodged disabandonment not to mention their genre is AWESOME they are more Rock but they also have a bunch of other songs that have different genres as well (there are many more that are AMAZING)! Honestly some 2nd gen nostalgia songs many consider iconic are „ring ding dong“ by shinee, „sorry, sorry“ by Super junior, „I am the best“ by 2ne1 and „mirotic“ by TVXQ. (I still can’t get enough of mirotic tho) I personally also really like „fiction“ by beast and „this love“ by shinhwa. There are actually some songs that were released during 1st or 2nd gen and re-released by a different 4th gen artist. „Dreams come true“ was originally a song by SES and was then rereleased by aespa. Same with „candy“ by nct dream (originally by HOT) or „home back home“ by BTS (originally Seo taiji and boys).

@@dprdenny music wise, they write and produce their own music. So they have complete control over everything. They’re not afraid to experiment with sounds. Or talk about topics that can be seen as taboo. They have a very in your face, energetic sound to their music but also very beautiful and melodic sounds to their music. I genuinely haven’t come across anyone who makes music the way they do. And something about it is exactly what my ADHD loves 😂😂. Now group wise, they’re just very open with their fandom. It’s genuinely like one big family. They try their best to not keep us in the dark when it comes to any issues they go through, they ask for our opinions on things they feel they should do, while still keeping professional boundaries. Their leader, Chan, used to go live on KZbin and Vlive every weekend and just sit there to talk with us, tell us how their week went, give us sneak peaks at songs they’re working on, work on songs while we watched, or just ask us if there’s anything we needed to get off our chest. And he would listen. He’d give us genuine advice back. And it’s not even just him. They all do that. They’re just one of those groups you can tell really cares about their fandom as people and not as paychecks.

Yeah, Korea is very nice, but when it comes to foreigners anywhere in Korea outside of Seoul aren't very liked, Seoul is very tourist friendly. Due to it being the most populated. But its hard for others to go into clubs if you're foreign, people also are viewed very different. therefore they will say anything to you even if its offensive.
