My favorite build i've seen so far, and the one I played on PVE is full AD CRIT Briar: Navori (which makes it so u are almost always on berserk and gives u more chances to E as well or keep Q'ing to keep the % armor pen on the target), collector, LDR, BT & shieldbow/Maw/DD. With this build u DON'T want attack speed, because she has the 2nd best atk speed steroid in the game after Tristana, so all u really need is Lethal tempo and items with AD + CRIT. Keep in mind the bleed is what heals briar (25% of its dmg), and it scales with AD. So you can get RIDICULOUS burst heals once u kill a target, cus u heal for all the remaining dmg that the bleed would have dealt. I'm not exagerating when I say that your bleed can stack up to 700+ dmg so u heal for about 200HP per sec and u can go (literally) from 10% HP to 100% as u kill a target. Is MENTAL.

This only works in low elo, because you lack sustain. Her build is always gonna be Stride/gore into BC. A lot of HP, CD reduction, same AD stats and damage is still insane with a better build path. Navori is insane good on her but you can never build it, 1 hard cc and you are dead. It's a win or lose situation every time you go in, and most of the time you gonna die b4 you can reach some one. Immagine playin vs a poppy or some cc tank with 2k less hp... it is hell.

For champs with Invisibility it depends actually. If Briar lands her ult they will have True Vision at all times unless Briar uses E. So stealth is useless. At the same time, if Briar is just using W with no ult, yea then it counters her.

It’s a good champ actually mastery 7 on my account (Briar Bloodfalen) and I can tell u have to see the champ as a Warwick. A tank with huge mobility ( 2 gap closer Q,W + flash + R…) myself I don’t use flash anymore cause my W is all I need. Ignite or slow are very strong on her. This champion don’t like so much diving , she prefer deal in river or jngl 1v1. And use your w for jump evry walls and take vision on a enemie who go in bush for exemple you will see him. One note on clear is that with her bleed passive you can leave camps quite early. Camps will die if you get them down to about 120 health from bleed+jungle pet level 1. So the laat two or so autos on red in the shown clear were unneccesary, but maybe just done because W was on CD. This increases over the game from levels/AD, but you should just be killing camps in one W anyway.

Yeah, my default has been duskblade eon serylda, room for a situational item third. Axiom is definirely not bad fourth or fifth though, since you lose those bonus resists when you kill your target, and it gives extra chase to clean up after you blow up a fight with the first ult.

The rune that has worked the best for me and I have not seen many people using is PTA, with ruin king, stridebreaker, and the situational bruiser items. You literally delete an adc by activating PTA, ruin king and the second W.

Some other hard counters for Briar are Illaoi, Jax, Nilah, Gwen, Leona and unless you land your ult which grants true sight champs that can go invisible like Vayne will fuck you up in a 1v1.

Build ive been having extreme success with (top, and jg) Is Dusk or Youmuus, into BC, into Edge of Night or Axiom, into bruiser/tank itemization (deadmans spirit visage etc etc) Runes = HOB, sudden impact eyeball ultimate hunter, alacrity/tenacity/bloodline and coup de grace/cut down/last stand.

you 100% do need attack speed on her. but depending on where you play her you can get it in different ways. if you run lethal on her then you can skipp all AS items as the lethal will get her to near cap during her w. But if using conq you need to get as from at least 1 other item eventually or her kill potential drops of the map.

nope 2 weeks later i'm still running same build alacrity gives enough i dont even take as shard but u can, think abt it her W gives 120% + aa resets on Q and w. and once u have items you only hit others 5-3 times if squishy then W-AA-Q-AA-W procs pta chomp for 1shot. If you are in lane HOB is better due to her op trade combo (WQ-AA-AA-W into E push) cus it allows fast combo in stun which leads into faster E dmg reduc / self peel so u don't get punished on cds.

100% agree. She's like 80% Yi, 15% warwick and 5% nocturne. Briar's W is a mini Yi ult, it's recast and heal is a make up for the uncontrollability. And her E is the equivalent of Yi's W and warwick's E. The playstyle is kinda similar too as she's weak early, needs items and is vulnerable to CC. This is why Briar is a high-skilled champ, playing her requires a lot of map awareness to pick off solo prey and not run into enemies' trap.

i find that q e usually doesnt work cuz the q stun lasts 0.85 seconds and the e charge time is 1 second, and then a .5 second cast time, so they have an entire .65 seconds to flash or dash or go untargetable etc. i play ap briar and run everfrost to compensate, in case anyone wants to mess around with ap briar. i think its super fun but its def easy to counter lmao. one more problem, u can just get oneshot while ur e is charging...

there is so much damage in this game that team fights feel a bit meaningless, it doesn't feel like there is any outplay in something that can kill you in 1 sec or less really, I remember when Riot's policy was that ONE SHOTTING SOMEBODY IS WRONG, mostly because it gives you NO CHANCE to actually play the game, react , make decisions or ANYTHING, assassins where still viable and they took at least 5 seconds to kill you but now the game feels ridiculous since they made everything one shot you. It's incredibly stupid and unintuitive in the best way for me, but it makes her feel unwieldy to play, which was obviously on purpose. They had an idea for a champ and I think they did a fantastic job at making something that felt like you were literally trying to rein it in from itself. Is it viable? Maybe. Would she be easier to control if you could control her? Obviously. But if you want that just play Warwick. I for one have found a new jungle main and I will love every second she runs under the tower and I can't do anything

I liked Briar either solo laner/jungler using Hullbreaker + Jak Sho. Insane ultimate defenses+both items gives her a very strong initial tankiness on engage while your team follow up. Still, Jak sho is doable for the stacking. Maybe Frostfire Gauntlet would be a better option to reduce damage.

you dont have to choose between them, you can start lethality for the early power and finish with a crit build for scaling. I run HoB and start collector into eclipse every game. Then its LDR/ER/BT. You have so much pen you murder anything except full armor tanks instantly. Bruisers that normally give her trouble die before the stun ends.
