As a fan from Fever era, this album really shocked me with its sounds that far away from Light Years & Fever. But this was the start of me knowing that Kylie is just so special, she knows what she wanna do, and it's not always about getting commercial success. She is an artist ❤

I've always been crazy and intrigued about Body Language. Kylie has experimented a lot more in her career, with albums such as IP, Golden and Body Language. However Body Language is the most striking case as it followed a smash commercial success. I love that when everybody expected a more conventional dance record she came back like a bucket of freezing water with an experimental/retro-futuristic R&B album blended with electroclash, hip hop, minimal techno and influenced by 80s R&B acts. The album is very pop and catchy still, which is why I don't understand the bad reception sometimes. It is still a bizarre change of direction that is attractive all along and I love it for it.
@nuseason5 ай бұрын
That’s why I decided to make this video. The album is so interesting because of its circumstances. It’s not too crazy experimental like Impossible Princess but it’s definitely left field from Fever. The bad reception probably was from the initial shock, but once the backlash cooled down, lots of Kylie fans begin to appreciate it so it’s not too bad. Kylie is just known for her danceable and night-out songs, that’s why she received backlash.

Chocolate has gotta be my favourite track of the album, it's what happens when sexiness and classiness are given to the right artist and they find the perfect balance. The song and MV has such a sensual subtilty that it puts you in this right kinda mood and everything is enjoyable.

I love this album,as it was such unexpected turm musically for Kylie after the success of Fever,but I loved te album Kylie and Impossible princess and X for the same reasons.Body Language is still underatted as an album and I think she pushed herself vocally on this album too and it really shows,for me there isn't a bad song on this album. Slow as the lead single was such a great choice it's a great song and a great video too. The retro sond of the album really works and the more experimental side works as o well, I loved all the videos from this album as eve they were very different in look and sound. I loved her image/look for this album too,somehow all the photos of her from this time look like the album sounds. Kylie never wants to repeat herself musically.visually and sometimes goes left of field/off the wall musically and Body Language is a brilliant example of this,the fusing of RNB,synth pop,and a more urban sound really brungs the album together. I think it's telling a lot of songs from this album have become live favourites I hope in time people will see how great this album actually is. (matt).

I really liked body language! I have fond memories attached with it. There are a song or 2 l am not crazy about but overall a nice piece of work. I think it was a bit risky to stray away from the sounds of the fever album that made her so well known in the us but I understand why she did. I love slow, still standing (which very much gives me a Michael Jackson vibe), secret ( take you home), promises,red blooded woman, obsession, someday (personal favorite favorite along with obsession), after dark, and you make me feel. Keep up the good work 👍 I love these kinds of videos.

Kylie has taken a few big risks throughout her illustrious career, such as going fully experimental for Impossible Princess and going country-ish for Golden, but to me, Body Language the bravest move she's ever taken in her career, considering how high the stakes were following the success of Fever. It also happens to be her sexiest-sounding album to date, Visually, this was the era that she looked the most ravishing.
@survivorbest458928 күн бұрын
It was a risk and even though she has remained successfull her career could be way bigger if she had followed up fever with something less divisive. She went from number 3 album in the US to number 42 and she only recently with Tension has been able to fix that decline. This was her one shot to break in to the US market, but even though the sound was calculated for that they lacked a strong enough single and Slow failed to catapult her to the stardom she deserved. Not only that it lost her a lot of steam in her main market who were divided over the sound.. Slow hit no.1 in the Uk but the sales were very low for a number one single.. It was a calculated risk but it still leaves you to wonder how things couldve been
@ownyourcrazy87346 ай бұрын
Ask the record label why there wasn't a fourth single. The decision lies with them.
@nuseason6 ай бұрын
I know! I’m just questioning why they didn’t release a fourth single, because there’s plenty of good choices.
@ownyourcrazy87346 ай бұрын
@nuseason It may have something to do with Kylie choosing not to tour in support of the album. It could be because the label didn't have faith in the commercial fortunes of another single release with the albums chart performance cooling and the returns on the release of Chocolate not paying bigger dividends.
