I just got into this podcast about 2 weeks ago, and I've been crossing my fingers that Victoria & Lindsay would be guests soon. They are the only YT couple that I watch, because they are so fun & positive. Their channel means a lot to me. My mother has definitely had a difficult time accepting & believing my coming out as a lesbian. For a couple of years, I really tried to not expose her to too much queer media, but one of the first times I ever was able to easily watch queer content with her was actually Lindsay's proposal to Victoria. I remember getting so stoked the second the video dropped. As soon as I got home, I sat in my corner chair with my headphones. My mom walked by and started watching the screen, asking me about it. I took out my headphones and she ended up sitting on the arm of my seat and watched the entire video with me. She thought they were such an adorable & beautiful couple. Hearing her acceptance of them, was the first time I really started to feel her acceptance of me. Victoria & Lindsay provided me with representation, while also providing my mother with a means to understand me, and the kind of future I want. Y'all are doing the Lord’s work out here, and never forget all the different perspectives you are touching by sharing your relationship with the world. ❤❤❤

I have a similar story in that I told my dad to listen to a song called This is me by Lloyd..& I honestly just thought he would like it, not knowing he would compare it to me, my life, and my story…He listened to it over and over and told me he accepts me no matter what and we’ve been great ever since!!
