Just a little note, always best to drive onto them, so if something goes wrong when unhitching the Van can only go backwards and not forward to the car....

I'd suggest reversing up the ramp is a bad idea as if the handbrake doesn't hold, the van can roll forward and smack into the car, even the operator. Driving forward up the chocks is safer as, if the van rolls off it will be backwards and becaught by the chains, damaging nothing.

Single axle is easier. You used 3 stage ramp. I use a straight line ramp without stages. Can get the van really level east west. Get a ramp and chock kit. Take extra blocks of wood as you don't usually know what you are going to get at different sites. A few times I have had to get the jack out to hold the van up while changing the jockey wheel position. One problem I have, is when the car is pointing down hill and it is hard to wind the hitch off the tow ball. If the van is not on a ramp, it's easier as you can slacken the handbrake. But if it's locked hard with ramp, chock and handbrake it can be hard to get them separated. Any ideas?

A great video. Can you please do a video on how to change a tyre on a caravan. Indicating how to get the tyre off the back bar, how to set up a jack, the jacking points on a caravan , how to secure the new wheel in place.

I busted one of those ramps by driving over the top of it, but I do have a single axle caravan with 1200kgs each wheel. I now use stronger ramps.

Hi I always have the legs at an angle whenever it’s possible so it stops the rocking motion😊

Yes, never back on to level ramps, always drive onto, rookie mistake.

Why not flip the rear ramp so it is back-to-back with the front ramp - then if the handbrake fails the van won't move far. Obviously this won't work on single axles though.
