Thank you for visiting the Cowboy state! People often travel go to Billings, Salt Lake City or Denver to see specialists, so even getting to the doctor can be expensive and requires long drives.

Great point! Healthcare options are rather limited in most of Wyoming :(

Wyoming is a beautiful state. I've driven in the north and south of the state. Very nice. They even have a cowboy on a bucking bronco on their license plates.

Indeed they do 🤠 Lots of wide open spaces :)

Buffalo Bill Cody comes to mind when thinking about Wyoming. He and a couple of other cowboys invented the rodeo, an expansion of the horse races many Old West towns engaged in...

Lots of real cowboys still left in Wyoming 🤠

That tracks in your common theme about Advantage Plans being heavy in high population areas, WY is so sparsely populated...Them cowboys need to install Starlink on their horses, it sounds like!

Lots of real cowboys still there! A lot of wide open spaces as we drove through 🤠

@@Theretirementnerds Yep. I think WY has less of a population than little DE here!

cowboy: why is it that supplement plans usually penialize you for being pre-65 but advantage does not?
@Theretirementnerds2 ай бұрын
Costs. If you're getting on Medicare pre-65, it's because of disability, ESRD, or ALS. All of those carry heavy costs. Supplement plans run on premiums received from those covered. Advantage plans run on funds received from the government and, if taking on more expensive folks, those reimbursements are usually higher.
