These are the types of videos we need right here. Videos that talk about real issues that matter so we can make a difference and make the world a better place. Not these videos that spill hate and resentment on people because of the way they look or because of the things they believe. Differences is what makes the world an interesting place. I've dealt with suicidal thoughts just thinking about how shitty this world seems and what the media puts out there. If it wasn't for cudi i wouldnt be alive and i hope one day the world gets over all this bullshit fighting so we can focus on the real issues.

Its not just depression and SI, so many other mental illnesses out there. Depression is thrown around a lot, personally i most notably suffer from BPD along with heavy traits of bipolar, anxiety, depression and adhd. XXX’s song “Sad!” screams borderline, among other things. I can relate to XXX in that way. And a lot of these other hip hop/rap artists who drink, smoke, party, do drugs, etc... maybe its to feel good but not for pleasure necessarily, more so to temper the feelings of sadness, despair, hopelessness all that shit that comes from mental health conditions. This was a great video, more should be done like this. Mental health is really taken for granted. There are ways to treat it and get better. Thank you to the rappers who make themselves vulnerable. Much respect and thanks.

Platinu Mane/Alfred Rieder Bipolar is a lot more dangerous in terms of suicide, I agree with you there. A reason people don't commit suicide with depression is the lethargy that comes with it, but when you're bipolar you transition to mania and suddenly there's a window where you're depressed/suicidal and energetic. Alfred you could be cyclothymic or have Bipolar 2, i.e less severe bipolar with longer transitions between depression and mania. I'm sorry you don't like facts but bipolar puts you at a greater risk for suicide than someone with depression alone. It seems to me you're the one who clearly knows nothing about your own illness. I think the only mental illness with a higher rate of suicide is Gender Dysphoria, which is upwards of 40%.

Even though this is old, it still teaches us a very important lesson about life. Life is more than just events. It's about expressing your emotions and your current thoughts. If I were to think of commiting suicide, I wouldn't do it. Just accept that you think what you think. Killing yourself won't help. Just be happy with who you are and live a whole life to remember your happiest moments in your life. Fight the killing, and get over your depression by thinking of nice things. I'm never going to commit suicide. I just wanna live a whole life and accept what I am as a person

I feel the schools and the hospitals of United stated should not just have a physical check up they should also have a a mental check up because people do not think it's good thing. And its like as if it's something wrong to have a therapist to have your Mind in Check.

im not sure if all colleges in the us do this but i know at least some do. if you make an appointment for a college health center, no matter what the appointment is for, you'll have to take a quick questionnaire about how you've been feeling. it's a depression screening test and if your score is high enough the nurse or whoever will guide you to other people who can help you like therapists or psychiatrists etc. it's actually the only reason i ended up getting any help for my depression while i was in college (came in with a concussion, left with some ice packs and appointments with 3 different therapists lol) but it's only really meant to catch depression and of course it only works if 1-the school in question actually requires the questionnaire, 2-a student is sick or injured in any other way and makes an appointment and 3-if they fill it out honestly, so i completely agree that it should be standard just like normal physical check ups!

This video is so meaningful. I love that now people are really talking about how mental issues deserve attention. Music is one of the bets ways to go through something bad.

Rah can people stop arguing about which artists do the most to save lives... If it helps somebody it helps somebody, leave it at that and try not to slander artists that are genuinely out here changing and saving people lives. 🙏

It is extremely important to point out that most of these examples are predominantly Black males as well. Black men suffer, but why are we so quick to ignore or pretend like we don't suffer? Why is it a norm that appearing weak is unforgivable, but in the moment of attempting/actually ending your life do we open our eyes to mental health/illness for Black men? This has got to stop. We got to acknowledge when we are hurt. Fuck a friend who judges you for hurting. Fuck a pretend happy, 'cause you can't pretend to be happy about the things that are severely destroying us on a daily. As a black man, we NEED to open up our emotions. Vulnerability is a healthy thing.

Who peeped the original thumbnail had Kendrick on there instead because Kendrick is literally responsible for everything in hip hop ever according to genius
@offwhiteangel78187 жыл бұрын
He's not responsible, certainly not for hip hop. He's on his own lane he doesn't own the whole genre lol calm down dude

Kimar Origami it's cause TPAB was a big hit and u was popular
@KimarKurosaski7 жыл бұрын
Christopher Caldwell which is fine but when you literally have a title and mention 3 specific artist and just put Kendrick on the thumbnail instead of one of the actual people you named your video after it shows how much genius likes to dick ride Kendrick (which is fine because if any rapper deserves that it's Kendrick)

@ashleyashleym29697 жыл бұрын
Really? Kid cudi let me face my depression and suicidal thoughts, its like he grabbed my hand and walked me through it. He helped me face my demons, and he helped me put into words my emotions. He inspired me to write music about my depression and it was very therapeutic. I mean writing it down was something I wouldn't have otherwise down. I wanted to cause pain to others through me killing myself.
@rachelmckenzie21787 жыл бұрын
K Giv wtf boi that persons just opened up about something that is obviously very important and all u can say is 'SHUT DA FAWK UP'? Ur pathetic 😒 can u not even say fuck? U worried mummy's gonna see what you've been up to? Seriously if u told a bunch of random people something as important and personal as that and they turn around and tell u to stfu you'd not exactly be happy would u? Just leave. Come back when you can wrap ur one brain cell is actually working and u can understand the importance of these things 🤦♀️👋🏻 The funny thing is tho ur probs like 9 lmao 😂🙄
