I think goalies can improve as they enter their prime in later years. But it's hard to tell if their all round game improves. Because I've only focused on shot-stopping.

Yeah, that makes sense. Knowing if a player's decision making is going to improve is hard to tell. The norm should be that the older you get, the wiser you become. But some player have poor decision making their whole career.
