Yup, the cheats are filled with nonsense code so you'd have to sift trough millions of lines of gibberish to get anywhere near reverse engineering anything, it's a very long, tedious and difficult process. You're better off just buying source code that's on sale and detect specific features instead of the cheats themselves.

Even when someone on the enemy team calls me a cheater and I think "oh boy now they're going to toggle because they think I'm cheating," the rest of the game typically plays out like normal. That said, I believe trust factor reset between CSGO and CS2 so maybe you have to build it back up to get decent games.

You can't rely on updating the anti-cheat based on the cheats features (It's how normal VAC works) because the way they do this is by detecting a specific cheat by pieces of it's hex bytecode (signatures) and it is completely useless because thanks to obfuscation tools (ex. VMProtect) you are able to recompile the cheat with totally different mutated and virtualized assembly instructions, and so the bytecode signatures become useless. They update their database with your cheat, you press a button and you get a completely scrambled undetected version of the same identical cheat, they add this one too, you do it again.. and so on..

@ Yeah, 10k can buy you a lot of equipment. If you buy machines designed just for this kind of stuff then you could easily run around 1k-3k probably accounts. If renting servers from different regions it would be more effective. I think cs2 has like 350k players average online at a given time. So that’s 9 players per match excluding the bot, and with this amount of bots it could be about 27k players games ruined. Honestly since cs2 can run on lab tops well it really isn’t resource intensive, so I would probably be able to push it to 5k-8k accounts running. The bigger issue with this is that valve would probably instead of trying to fix the game and the anti cheat, rather just find us and pursue us legally to get us in jail as an example. For a billion dollar company it’s far easier for them to do that then actually fix the game.

All they would have to do is set up a Reverse Engineering Division and Reverse all those game cheats. It would probably take then a few months and all the features would be reversed. Most cheats work by modifying or reading the game’s memory in real-time. Think of it as if your brain is being hijacked and your thoughts are being replaced or read without you even realizing it. For example, if you’re thinking about your favorite color being blue, but someone swaps that thought mid-process to green, you’d only ever “know” green was the original thought-because you can’t access the overwritten information. Or, imagine if you were the only person who knew the location of some hidden item, but that information was simply read from your mind without you even knowing it. Similarly, the game cannot detect that its memory has been tampered with or read because it simply doesn’t have the capability to monitor those changes. To illustrate this further, let’s say there’s an aimbot cheat. When you're in a multiplayer game, each players in-game model is somewhere on the map, and that model's location is stored somewhere in the game's memory. Code can be written to detect when this value changes, and reset it back to max health, effectively making you invincible. Now the examples I described above are very simple examples, and one of the ways some multiplayer games are able to prevent cheats is by storing information on the server (which can not be modified by cheat applications as it is an entirely different device) as well as the client, and if the server detects that the client is sending data that does not match what is on the server, then a red flag can be drawn. For example, if the server knows the players coordinates are (154, 144) but on the next communication the client is telling the server that the player is at (642, 665), it can be assumed something is wrong and the player has likely teleported. Or, another example, if the server knows a players health is 50 but the client is suddenly reporting the players health is 100, yet the client has also not reported any healing items used or similar, then it can be assumed something is wrong. But this only works to an extent. There are various things that are extremely difficult, if not downright impossible, to detect on the server. Which is where full-fledged anti-cheat programs come into play, but again, they have their difficulties as well. The point is, it’s not about whether Valve knows how cheats work-they do. The challenge is creating tools that can effectively counteract cheats functioning at a higher system level than the game itself. Anti-cheat AI is not a bad idea. It actually already exists, but as with local anti-cheats and server-sided anti-cheat, AI anti-cheats have their issues as well. Most AI anti cheats would need to be run on the server level and use data available by the server instead of running on the client, because AI is very hardware demanding and creating a localized AI anti-cheat would make game requirements very demanding as well. And as with server-sided anti-cheats that already exist, there are many different cheats that can't be detected on the server-side, which would also make them largely undetectable by the AI anti-cheat as well. AI anti-cheat essentially have to be like a moderator watching the game and looking for irregular patterns of the players, which are easy to avoid on the cheater's side.

Depends what the cheater uses, as long as its not Aimware they wont get banned xD Incase you would like to know and dont know yet, the features that trigger VAC Live: Doubletap, Antiaim ( unless the user is on skeet otherwise known as gamesense ), 180 FOV, Subtick Autostrafe ( it makes you be faster ) and lastly using rapid firing weapons such as Ak47 and shooting through walls with them Btw, it doesnt matter if you try to blur the UI, everyone knows its NeverLose. Also he has a feature called “hurt logs” which shows him how much he hit the enemy, where he hit them and for how much. The reason why its important is, it literally shows the cheat logo.

Accounts that get cooldown will almost certainly get overwatch(game) ban. Party members who are legit will not but will likely have their ranks decreased/removed and trust factor lowered.

When cs2 was released, I reached maybe 18k elo or something and there were cheaters every other game basically. So I started playing faceit instead for a while. Over this summer I didn't play at all, but I picked it up again in september. I reached around 18k elo once again but during my climbing I didn't encounter a cheater even once (I think). I'm 23k now, and there are cheaters in many of my games again. But it's very rarely blatant. You just kind of suspect it most of the time, and more often than rarely when you watch the demos your suspicions are correct. But as I said it's not blatant. A lot of the cheaters also have some pretty sick skins on their accounts but they still feel confident enough that VAC won't detect their cheating. And I mean they never get proven wrong. Me and my friends are grinding towards 25k but it's hard when people use soft aim and wallhacks because they can't handle the fact that they suck without it. It's so sad that some people are so insecure and weak-minded.

AI anticheat working pretty well i'd say! Valve's approach to not implement a kernel anticheat may be good for everyone's security and privacy, but the game really suffers. Truth is solutions to this problem have to sacrifice the interests of a portion of the playerbase: as Haix said in the video, not everyone will be happy with it. An interesting solution could be allowing only one account per PC, so that those who get banned (assuming they actually do, although what the video shows is not encouraging) will have to buy a new device; at least it will put a bit of pressure on cheaters, since if they do get banned in the end they'll lose more than the 300th account they bought in 60 seconds from a website

its hard to reverse engeneer cheats nowadays as well. They have clients who obfuscate and encrypt it like normal games as well. So its not that easy to just Extrakt the code

Mostly depends on the cheat if u get vac or not. U can use features like double tap, no spread and anti aim on expensive or private cheat and not get banned but u can just turn on aimbot on cheap or free cheat and get insta banned

I think it works on trust factors therefore , you are accounte are tagged as suspects under their account graphs but not enough supporting evidence since there shall be more number of reports from different users altogether in high frequency in a short time . This is why most probably your accounts aren't banned

Since new CS, I had one situation where the match stopped because of VAC intervention and it was mostly due to the fact that I played with some big streamer and he complained live about the other team. I mean he wasn't really wrong but dude 😅

AI anti cheats seem like the logical evolution. They can be non intrusive while being able to catch hardware cheats which kernel level anti cheats can’t detect.
