A good watch that seems to last forever is the Omega Seamaster 300. I wear mine daily for years, no issue.

Technically the bezel is still useable so I wouldn't judge the fortitude of the watch too harshly :)

True I am still using it bidirectionally 😁

Hi Jimmy! Dust and Debris, most likely from the farming environment! Still one of the best watches, ever made!

Happened to me once as well, RSC put in a new spring and told me to collect it the next day.

Disappointing. Perhaps a fixed bezel Airking or Explorer is more appropriate for use of the farm, although you lose the convenience of the timing function offered by a rotating dive bezel. One should be able to count on a tool watch being virtually indestructible.

Perhaps a Seiko SKX works much better at the farm

farming in Melbourne's west is obviously a tougher gig than diving mate!

Possibly the toughest lol

I’ve abused my almost 15yr old planet ocean big and it’s still going strong just scratches on the strap. I’d recommend it for robustness.

That bezel isn't supposed to move in both directions :( My old 5513 submariner took 33 years to break down, so I sent it in for service. Not something I recommend, but it did.

Yeah I think the old friction bezels with the tension washer are better, I’ve popped bezels off 5513 and 1680’s cleaned them put them back together and they worked fine as for this new submariner I took the bezel off cleaned out the dirt and noticed significant wear from the dirt grinding the ratcheting system so now put back together it’s no better. Has to go to Rolex, it’s going to need parts.

@@jimmysplit7729 would be nice to see your video on how badly the wear was.
