Watching this on New Year's Day it's amazing how radically different things are for Michigan. Sherrone Moore has earned several years of job security. Huge upset win @OSU, another major upset win vs. Alabama on a neutral field. Top 10 recruiting class, Justice Haynes, Damon Payne, Troy Bowles, Donovan McCulley some others in the portal. Michigan's schedule is much easier next season. No Oregon, Penn St, Illinois, or Texas and Ohio St at home. I'll be surprised if they don't make the CFP.

At least, until Aiden Chiles graduates.. There’s no talent on MSU, except the people brought in by Head Coach.. Cupboards were empty when Jon Smith started. I like this coach personally, especially when Sparty was suppose to win less than 5 games this year.. Big win over Iowa..

state has more time but Michigan feels like there doing more in recurring and fund raising. Morre needs to change the staff up. the university has done everything to give the players the best gear, facilities and there NIL looks like its getting better. state is a little behind on that stuff

Michigan will be fine. Moore will improve this program, I wish a lot of Michigan fans would stop being influenced by msu and osu fan based. You not blind, we had to replace seven Oline, QB and two WR's and on defense a lot of talent and leaders. Not to mention coaching staff. I would say this if Moore bring back Campbell, he better be dam sure this guy gets it done or he will be fired. Wink is up for grabs. But the mean thing is that every team in the Bigten next season will not be as good due to what they all will lose after this season.

People didn’t like the flash of Mel Tucker, but it WORKED. The recruiting was very good in relation to the past couple DECADES. This program NEEDS more flash again, it’s so boring. No program without some “sauce” or “juice” or “big money” wins. Not at all.

@dfuhst2 ай бұрын
No, he should be allowed to build his program. He’s raising the money required. And he will fire the coordinators if they don’t beat OSU. He should be the head man right now and moving forward because he is bringing the money required in. Smith is not. He won’t get to last there if he doesn’t win quickly.

Michigan is doing more in recruiting and will turn around much quicker than Michigan State. Your Michigan State and you have the 54th recruiting class coming in, Michigan will probably finish top 10. There's much more panic with Michigan State and their NIL program and rebuilding

The problem now is the big disparity of resources. Ohio State has more than double the $$ for NIL compared to the lowest BigTen teams. Michigan is not far behind. MSU is above the median for the BigTen, but still only about 2/3 where tO$U is, and about 3/4 where Michigan is in terms of available funds. There’s about 20 teams nationally that could outbid MSU for an individual player. Nobody but tO$U should be able to outbid Michigan.

These guys just prove they don’t know what they are talking about every single day. Michigan has a collective that doled out $16M to the roster this year. They aren’t hapless in NIL. It’s why they might end up landing the #1 player in the country and likely a top 5 class this year. Do your research or shut the hell up.

I certainly hope UMich retains Moore for a long time… For Smith, if he hasn’t been able to recruit, develop, and construct a competitive roster and is losing big like that IU game in late year three, then year four is when the legitimate “hot seat” concerns begin. Until then, just keep developing Chiles, get to the post season, and maybe sprinkle in a few upsets here and there. Vie for winning football. I know MSU fans are tired after how the 2022 and 2023 campaigns unfolded, but Smith is not accountable for those seasons nor the relative success that other coaches in the conference are managing. This was never an overnight thing, and Spartan fans frankly need to understand the fundamental nature of this program, which is not a perennial contender. Recruit, develop, build depth and bring in guys with character. Do that well enough and you’ll find your way into the playoff. Everyone else who is overeager for instant gratification can GTFO.
