At one point Ruby asks about the naming of terminals and gates. In the very early days of flying, it was basically a train terminal type building (same function/language as well - it is where a journey begins or ends) and you would sit in one large seating area. Then go outside to get on the plane once it was ready. A few airports still operate like this. Most in the 60s and 70s decided to simply enclose the entire process for noise and comfort. The airport near where I used to live in Los Angeles ( Burbank ) still operates this way in that you have to go outside to the plane and board via stairs. So you have a holding area and a literal "Gate"/door to the outside.

I've noticed that the machines are on a time situation. If you notice other machines popping off near by, yours will have a good chance of also popping off. I've noticed that at several casinos. I'll bet low when slow, and higher when I hear several machines popping off near by.

Fyi.. if you drive to Arizona and/ or California, there are casinos all along the way. The airport slots are managed by South Point casino mgmt.

That machine did well on $15-20 bets when I was there about 2 weeks. From personal experience the dragon link machines had done me well when playing $1 denom $15 bet and $20 and $30 $2 denom bets. Many little jackpots $1200-1500

This is an interesting thing to mention in that yes, slot machines can be altered to have slightly more favorable pay tables and odds by the operators, if they request it. Many of the on-strip casinos are a little stingy as people have noticed, with tighter slots. The airport seems to be a bit more friendly (likely default settings as they can't be bothered vs tighter), probably because it's aiming at being a good experience for travelers. Where you play can make a difference. Note - some off-strip casinos are also very tight via tricks, as well. Ellis Island comes to mind as one as they reset the machines every night like clockwork. I rarely go in there and see the mini/maxi/etc levels at much above the lowest default values. They aren't adjusting the odds as the machines seem to run normally, but they try to limit payout amounts as much as possible. Some casinos, like the former Hooters before it got bought out, hardly ever reset their machines. I had some nice payouts there years ago. The new management - I stopped going there after they started to replace table games with video versions, but that's a whole other topic.

Hello!! I have also been having issues with dragon link lately too. I am from Canada and my first spin ever on dragon link I hit a major jackpot and another good bonus a month later. But ever since then, no matter what version of dragon link I have played, the bonus is so hard to hit!!

We've been in and out of LAS, many times, as recently as two weeks ago. I can't remember a single time we played slots at the airport.
