@mrenergy53642 жыл бұрын
Would F# count for you, or is the perfect sweet spot for you G?
@antonbarkland21942 жыл бұрын
@@mrenergy5364 Hello Mr Energy and thank you for the question... :-) I don't really know if I was specific enough when I wrote "actual note" and what I meant by it... Obviously a note that you couldn't hear with your ears is as much of a note as one that you could hear with your ears... (I think so at least :-)) I've been thinking about that... Like what would it sound like with an eight string guitar with a bass guitar underneath...? I'm thinking obviously (mostly) about the lowest notes. I think it could work out pretty well... With the right thickness and length of the lowest bass string I guess... What would actually sound the best is probably up for debate and it is also probably somewhat subjective... Especially if we are talking about the lowest tuned string on a guitar and/or bass guitar... Like... Does it start to sound not as good as some point even though you would have the right thickness and length when it comes to the string...? I like that you mention this expression "sweet spot"... As an example, I have an Ibanez guitar here tuned one and a half step down and when I play that bottom string as an open string, palm-muted or not, or I turn it into a power chord (quite strange term by the way when it is only two notes), I don't feel like I need to go lower... For the most part at least... So maybe that is like a sweet spot for me. But I think it could also be nice to go lower at times... A seven string, tuned to standard for example... Or tune it down a whole step like Munky and Head does in KoRn. As far as eight string goes and having a bass guitar underneath I think it could work. But I don't think it would make that much sense going that much lower than standard. I would go the other way as in higher tuning. I do have wondered how Meshuggah would sound like with a bass guitar tuned an octave lower that the guitars... I think most of their songs are played on eight string guitars, tuned a half step down.
