How Lucio & Susan Co Became Billionaires

Although Lucio and Susan Co became popularly known as the owners of Puregold, they actually started out in the oil industry first when they launched Cosco Capital in 1988.
They also own the Keepers, the largest distributor of imported spirits in the Philippines with a massive 74 percent market share.

Lucio is a very good businessman because we know that there are many companies, their company is not just pure gold, he is very good at handling people

I believe puregold started out as duty free store back then in clark and subic which gave them access to a lot of imported products, they were one of the lowest priced duty free shops back then beating out a lot of their competitors. then when the licenses to import "duty free" was abolished when Erap was ousted he pivoted to the chain of puregold stores which catered to C D and E market. In retrospect, S&R was just an iteration of the then "duty free" Puregold. Lucio Co is actually one of the businessmen that I admire. they were a pretty well to do family even before they launched Puregold stores but it's amazing how massive his business ventures has become.
