I think that while the really expensive items are for the privileged and their assorted pets and family, the biggest amount of money is made from affordable wares such as accessories, perfumes and tons of makeup. as a person in the marketing and pharmacy business i can tell you that it is a very good video. Words or ideas like: creating a sense of urgency, limited availabilty, social status, recognisable brand centered around the ideas and concepts, and value are very real and correct and used every day by all the shops and brands and the business. Every day we are brainwashed and manipulated to buy....and this happens for each of us from the phone, clothes that we buy up to the car or even houses

Manufactured Scarcity & Exclusivity: Luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and Rolex deliberately limit product availability to create a sense of urgency and exclusivity, making their items more desirable. Price Priming & Status Symbolism: These brands set high prices not based on production costs but on the value of social status they project, turning their products into status symbols. Neuromarketing & Customer Experience: Brands like Balenciaga use neuromarketing to study consumer behavior and emotions, optimizing their marketing strategies, while also focusing on providing a premium customer experience to ensure loyalty and repeat purchases.

It’s like some toxic "friends" and colleagues, the more you "want" them to be your "friends", the less they are interested in you. So why bother at all. 😂

Actually it’s much deeper than that. Humans are primally wired to seek after strength and wholeness. Anything that gives off the impression of need/lack/want/desire doesn’t show “Strength/wholeness” to a certain type of people. People that do resonate with someone that needs help are either genuinely good people or someone with an ulterior motive. Ultimately be you, ask for help when necessary, and don’t beg anyone for attention. You’re worth more than that.

Funny enough, the popular luxury brands like LV, Gucci (although they're getting back to quality) & Prada, Balenciaga etc..., when I used to buy their clothes or accessories, they would peel very quickly. When I started wearing Brunello Cucinelli, Thom Brown, Tom Ford, Zegna, Zilli, Brioni, the quality is through the roof. They're going to last you years and still look AND fit like it's brand new. It's like the popular brands take the same approach as fast fashion but just charge ridiculous markups. So I don't believe luxury brands are rip offs, I believe you just have to know what you're buying in terms of quality vs paying for the brand name and that's when I realised there are two sides to Luxury fashion. One sides prioritises hype, exclusivity and branding, that's your Gucci, LV, Balenciaga, Prada etc... The other side prioritises quality, structure, fit and longevity, I mentioned some of them earlier. You can find a Hoodie for $200 that is more quality than a $800 hoodie at the same time you can find an $800 hoodie that is impossible to find at a lower price-point unless you make it yourself, it all comes down to the brands objective & purpose. Again, some brands prioritise hype, branding and exclusive drops more than quality and that's how they justify their price-point, while you can have another brand at the same price-point that solely prioritises the quality, structure, fit and longevity of their clothing and that's how they justify the exact same price point. It all comes down to if you know what you're buying.

He is telling the truth . I worked luxury retail for years. I even did an experiment , using an average run of the mill navy blazer to show how gullible customers can be. I pretended to be a customer who was desperate to have this navy blazer. The other customers stopped browsing , came over to see the blazer and began to argue about who should try it on and buy it.

*New Subscriber* : That was very interesting summary (for the type of products covered). Especially in Asia where it's harder to stand out from the crowd, this works a treat (in Hong Kong they have a velvet rope outside the Gucci store, and yet there's only one customer inside). If you're insecure enough that you needed branded goods, you need to ask yourself why. In clothing, I buy _nothing_ that has a brand on it for formal/ casual wear where I can avoid it. Some things are well made, but still with a very high profit margin ( think Saville Row hand made suits ). But other items are not so well made, and have a price based on the halo effect. That is not value for money, and so I would never have it. But 90% of the clothes/ accessories I buy ( and I've really cut back to buy quality and maintain them well ) I buy on sale. Even at a 50% discount, they are still make money. I wait for the "Extra 10%" in the sale. If the item I wanted is gone, I don't care as I wouldn't buy it without that discount on the already 50% discounted price. It becomes a fun game in a way. If you buy classic pieces, they never go out of fashion

Sabri, this video is absolutely on point! 🎯 I started listening to your audiobook during my commute and was immediately hooked. 🎧 The way you break down complex marketing strategies, especially how the top 5 luxury brands brainwash the masses, is nothing short of brilliant. 🧠 I've been taking screenshots of key moments to review later and highlight them in the printed copy, as your insights are incredibly valuable. 📚 The way you present these concepts is so clear and engaging-none of those other so-called "sales gurus" even come close! 💪 Your ability to cut through the noise and deliver actionable advice is what sets you apart. 🚀 Curious-what's your take on how these luxury brands maintain their mystique in an increasingly transparent digital world? 🌐 Thanks for sharing your expertise! 🙏

There is a difference between media representation and physical store presence. Their stores are everywhere in the world. You can access it anytime online. There is no such thing as mystic in business. Only mystic advertising. For example, their ads do not promote," Please buy me or its sale time." All their ads just reinforce brand name. No call to action at all. Or events to make the brand top of mind.

My wife and I make a great deal of money. My favorite store is ROSS! I have absolutely NO issue with wearing $30 jeans and $20 watches.

I adore you for making this video! Not that i care for these brands, or fall for them (the ridiculous price tags turn me off. im ready to pay for quality and craftmanship - for what it's worth, but not for status), but love the video! appreciate it. Smart.

This is why we have inflation because prices no longer reflect quality or value.
