If you go liandrie, I think comet is ideal as the comet re-procs liandries ticks. Aery doesnt. Even if you manage to squeeze in 2 procs of aerie per combo, comet still outdamages. I have personally made a spreadsheet to see the damage difference, and comet won out by a significant margin (even when the enemy is full of dash champs where you would think aery should do better) 😊
