Comment of the day! I love comments about how people dig compared to others. Not sure what “dings, scratches and breaks” you’re talking about but to each their own. You dig and find as many artifacts as we do, you’re gonna ding and break stuff. Don’t matter if it’s with a machine or tool. Good luck moving dirt in our soil with your toothbrushes. Thanks for watching tho! 👊🏼

I well understand the appeal of searching for ancient artifacts. However, this is indiscriminate looting where no regard whatsoever is given to the site proper and the context of the objects; they are simply ripped out of the ground. While you may proudly display the pieces, you can't say much about the people who left them, how they were used, how they came to be found there and a host of other pertinent questions. There are archaeological societies and groups which would welcome enthusiastic excavators, where you would contribute to saving the ancient history of your area for all to enjoy. I would recommend you look into the possibilities. The past is not a renewable resource. Once its gone, that's it.
