KZbin isn't tired of SMW! We've been watching you, GPB, and a few others since we had our own kids and it's really nice and chill to have on in the background to wind down. We beat quickie world and a few other short ones... working on Akogare, but these types of hacks are beyond what we can manage time wise. It's always nice to watch you conquer them, and we really appreciate having it on youtube so we don't miss out on streams.

Easy Refried Beans: Put 2 cups of pinto beans and 5 cups water in a crockpot with some bacon (and a little salted pork if you like.) Add some salt and pepper, a bay leaf or two. Cook for about 4 hours, checking and stirring every hour for doneness When the beans are cooked, put them in a container, let them chill overnight Next day, slop a couple ladlefulls of beans into a skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons lard (or butter if you don't have lard) I'd add extra spices at this point. Cayenne and paprika is nice. You can also add a splash of water if the beans look to have dried a bit while in the fridge Cook and mash until they are looking the way you want. The longer you cook, the more fried and flavorful they get. (Refried and Refried!) I like to eat my refrieds with some eggs, bacon, and tortillas.

That scanner level was so cool. I think that might be my favorite concept for a level I've ever seen in a Mario hack. It's the sort of thing an entire game on its own could probably base itself around.

Feels surreal how many hours of this series I've seen considering the free time I have, but this hack and playthrough have been soo entertaining. On a side note, it would be nice if 6hour videos be split in 2-3 segments and uploaded back to back because scrubbing 6+ hours to find where you left on a mobile is a nightmare.

I believe he mentioned on stream one day that the cost of an editor is much higher than what comes in from ads, so it wasn't particularly sustainable.

​@@leo_leo12 I think the editor only works on certain things, like when Barb wants to capitalize on time tentative stuff and wants it edited down for broader appeal on KZbin. But, there is still edited stuff on KZbin, it's just only certain stuff that is worth the time investment, which this isn't really worth it for the return he would receive.

To add some context to something somebody said in chat about being able to spin a disco shell with the cape. Under normal circumstances, you cannot. However, if you pick up and drop a disco shell on the right frame after the yellow koopa has entered the shell but before the disco shell is active, you get what is basically a kickable disco shell. Once you kick that shell, it will turn into a normal disco shell, however, if you let another koopa get into THAT shell, the disco shell will activate and you'll be able to cape spin it and stun it with a cape slam. Granted, you don't have the space to do any of that in the level in question here, but just some SMW game facts for those interested.

when i started watching this hack i thought it would be great but i would hate to play it because i hate beans; they're my least favorite sprite. as the level gimmicks unfold, i continue to be shocked by the level of jank they conceived. angry sun greenbean takes the cake for the most evil sounding mechanic imaginable. they keep raising the stakes with impressive level design based entirely on the jankiest things possible, and just keep making them longer and harder. giggity.

Nah, let artists put whatever message they want in their art. If people can write books or music about political topics or “controversial” ideas, then people who make games should have the same rights. Also trans rights are human rights.

@ I can see why some feel like this, I will vote for anything to give rights to those who are mistreated by laws designed to punish. But having the common sense to treat another equally is a lot different to a game, that is meant to be fun and enjoyable (especially a rom hack) having a political statement in it.
