We've been slaying the crappie down here in Middle Georgia. They're very close to shore and seemed to take most any kind of bait. I've been using crappie nibbles on a little jig with tube worms. Wore out two or three tubes. I had a friend fishing with minnows. He was slaying crappie as well. Then he nailed a 6lb bass. He and his friend went home with about 12 crappie each and the bass. They left with giant smiles on their face.

I bought my first jar of Gulp Minnows 2 years ago. Last year I opened it up. I have never bought live bait since. I carry a couple of jars of Gulp Minnows, Honey Worms, Asticots(for harvesting bluegills for catfish bait), and finally bought a jar of Night Crawlers. Night Crawlers, not so impressed with yet. The minnows on an #8 long shank hook will last me all day. Thats an 8 hook not 8/0. That was a great video demonstrating the Gulp minnows! I do truly enjoy your videos.

Yet another great video! Thanks for all the amazing content man, you've easily become my favorite fishing channel to watch over the course of about a week. Yo, I know the channel is about being realistic, and as practical as possible, so don't take this the wrong way; but I was going to suggest possibly getting a pair of neoprene waders. They can be a pretty penny but it's so worth it for us shore fisherman. For example, when you went to that second spot to try and get out deeper, and it was a difficult spot to cast from because of the trees and stuff surrounding it. One of my all time favorite spots here in my hometown has the same issue. Makes for awkward casts, and a lot of lures lost to trees 😂 With waders (or even a long pair of boots) you can get out a few feet into the water, and give yourself some clearance from the trees. It also can help make spots you wouldn't normally be able to stand at, very accessible from the shore. I bought a pair last season and have yet to regret it for a second. Itd also make for some really cool exploration type videos, and finding out about spots you could never get to before! Personally it's the route I went instead of buying a kayak to get more access. So. Much. Fun. Also, something that has helped my hook up ratio on the drop shot rig (we actually use the same exact setup for it! Just been sporting the 3 inch minnows on it) is just opening the hook a bit more with a pair of pliers before you rig it up. I used to miss probably about half my hooksets, and that one little tip has helped me greatly. Drop shot rig for the win!! Anyway, Not giving ya any orders, or demanding anything from ya! Just a bit of info from one realistic fisherman to the next, since I get tips from practically every video of yours. Keep it reel man!! On the road to 100k 🍻🎣

Ya just cant resist telling me what to do 😅 Buy this, do that... thanks anyway.

@@RealisticFishing Realistic Fishing not what I was doing at all man. Deliberately thanked you for your content, and told you how much I liked it, congratulated you on 40k, said you're literally my favorite fishing channel. acknowledged the fact that this channel is about keeping it realistic and simple, and not buying a bunch of expensive stuff. Literally prefaced my message with "don't take this the wrong way" because of the video you just posted about people telling you what to do. And actually in that video you said you didn't mind suggestions, or tips, as long as they weren't given in either a condescending way, or in a demanding way. Neither of which did I intend my comments to come across as. I avoided using condescending or demanding language or remarks, throughout my comment. I thought I made it pretty clear I wasn't demanding anything from you, or trying to make myself seem superior in any way shape or form. and I never told you to TRY or DO anything. I said something I DO PERSONALLY. I let you know what has helped me personally increase my hookup ratio on fish on the dropshot, cause you commented in the video how it's hard to set the hook sometimes w that rig, which is a issue I've ran into as well. Really don't think I was being a dick, and if I came off that way, it truly was the exact opposite of my intention. I tried to formulate the comment around your video of not being told what to do. Literally just a fan commenting on a video in the community I enjoy, on a channel I really enjoy, so I can share some information on a type of fishing that can help, and can be loads of fun, and hopefully get even more information back from you and others. You're my favorite fishing channel, I'm not out here to piss you off, and I'm not here to teach you how to fish. Hell, you're the one who teaches me w every video. Still a fan, still a subscriber, but damn man, you missed the whole point of my message and threw me in the same bucket as all those people who LITERALLY tell you what to do and shove their opinions down your throat. Have a good one man. Hope this comment cleared the air maybe. Really wasn't trynna be a dick. Keep it reel.
